Its one thing to be able to stay awake yourself and drive at all hours but what about your teammate? If he's unable to stay awake you're screwed. I ran into a crippled guy driving the employee van at CRST and he told me he got that way when his teammate fell asleep at the wheel while he was in the sleeper and they ended up in a ditch. Since he can't drive a truck anymore, CRST has him drive the van. I had a teammate who told me he couldn't fall asleep in a moving truck and it always scared the heck out of me when it was his shift. Solo's definitely the way to go!
Don't forget the light at the end of the tunnel isn't always a train... Things do get better when you least expect it. Lot of people would gladly trade their problems with you for yours. Keep chipping away and you'll find the job you want. The Werner thing wasn't all bad, you got miles and valuable experience. Best of luck.
They are not going to force teams, they would like to see teams but if you dont want to team you wont be forced....
Read a post on another thread, the guy did all his training with Swift and was told he was 87th on the waiting list for a truck.
Hmmmm for posts. All good about england??? May he or she just wants to be and England recruiter. I talk just as much good about England as i do Bash them. Im one of the lucky few you left there making money. The problem was them taking too much of the money i earned. Then upping the charge for being a trainer was abuute the last straw.
Just got the qualcomm message. Effective now. All company drivers will be going teams. If someone is currently in training they will be going team. The only people that will not have to go team are the ones that are hired and do not have to go out with a trainer.
