First off, I am not a truck driver. I'm just a little ole farm girl so what I am about to write may not make a lot of sense.

My ex boyfriend just graduated from CR England a little over a month ago. The job has put him under so much stress it has taken it's toll on our relationship and we broke up because basically, he is married to his job.

I'm worried about him. I never wanted him to go into the lease program but he did it anyway. His truck broke down about 3 weeks into this. His last 2 settlements have been in the red. He thinks he has to work harder now, that he isn't dedicated enough. I don't know how much harder he can work. He has driven the max he can drive.

He has this plan and I know pretty much all of you are going to laugh about this. He thinks he can lease his truck from CR England for a year. After the 1st year he thinks he can lease a 2nd truck (run two trucks) and pay someone to drive it. He says by the end of two years he will have 7 trucks and be a millionaire...all leasing through CR England.

I have read all kinds of bad things about CR England, he hasn't done any homework on them. I don't want to squash anyone's dreams but I am concerned for him.

I suppose I should care since he has treated me like dog doo since he started his lease, but the bottom line is, I do care. I just don't know what to say to him. I don't think his dream is even possible through CR England or any other company for that matter.

I hate that he is struggling. I wish things would get better or he would fail so he can move on to someone more constructive. I know that makes me sound like a bad person but I just haven't heard anything good about England.

Any input, feedback and suggestions are welcome.

I believe that many, many millionaires started with CRE.

Not what you want to hear....but here goes.

I think it's time for you to move on with your life. Nothing good can come from this.

He'll be living in the truck for months on end. And rarely have money to send to a household to support a wife, let alone a wife and kids.

He'll eventually fail, the system is designed for that outcome. In doing so, he will be 1000's in debt. He will be depressed, moody, and lashing out at anyone. IF you get married, you'll be helping him pay these bills for years to come.

Is this how you want to live your life?

It's okay to have goals and dreams. It's NOT okay to allow those hopes and dreams to destroy someone else's life. Much less your own.

He sounds like a fool you should be happy to be rid of . He's running in the red and he's going to hire drivers . Why should they work for him when they can go in the red themselves with their own lease ? What benefits (insurance , holidays , etc. could he offer to match what they could get elsewhere ? )

ummm ya......my brother has the same thought.

first let me say when I ran with my brother, I was first seat ( lease operator)
the only settlement goes to the first seat. It's set up as there business.
which means the first seat has to pay the second seat for me and my brother it wasn't so bad i already was joint on his account with the credit union. so all i had to do is transfer his pay in to his account.
but i was thinking how it would suck so bad to try to pay someone else. and how would they get that into there account. you can't always stop by their bank or find a mail box.

so if you have a second truck you would still have to pay that person and keep someone driving it. cas if no one is in it you still are making payments.
and how much would you pay that person ? cas keep in mind they can lease there own truck also. and what if the truck breaks down? you have lodging to pay for. and what about miles? that person might not run well. and fuel? if they don't conserve fuel then you are spending more and making less.

when we were in orientation there was this one guy that said he was going to get a second truck and put a driver in it for like 8 bucks an hour. i dang neer fell out my seat. I asked him why would some one drive for you for 8 bucks an hour, when they can be in there own truck?
I told him he was a twit.

but there are people that have a fleet of trucks that they keep up with. I guess it all depends on how you work out the pay.

It's nice to have a plan and goals....but when you set a goal that goal should be obtainable. I would say before he worries about running multiple trucks he should get some experience under him first.

Angleena I feel for you, yet run away from him as quickly as you can. I do know that CR England gets wind of him leasing out to other drivers they will require seeing paper work proving that he is paying the fees like workmans comp. If he isnt CE will terminate that lease. He has a wonderful dream, but thats all smoke in the wind.

It's possible to have one truck he drives, and have another one that someone else drives. It's also possible he could make a decent living doing this.
But first you would have to take CRE out of the mix.
