I am compiling a "realistic" working list of everything a driver should keep on the truck, and why. Going to be giving this list to new hires during Orientation and Safety Training. Would welcome input from the drivers on this one! I'm more interested in the "non-obvious" items, little things that have proven to be helpful to have with them, any why...Thanks!

There's a few good threads on here. I'll see if I can find them. They are under "Questions from New Drivers" I believe.

WOW! Thanks! This will surely keep me busy researching thru these.

Okay read thru all of those, these are the basic ones so far, I think what I am looking for, or wondering about, are more geared toward seasoned drivers. We have "new-hires" but they all have a min of 3 years OTR already, so no "newbies". I'd like to try and just create a useful list of for them of little things here and there that have come in handy, or a driver found valuable to have that the average person, or maybe even average driver might think off right off. Items that are might be considered "tricks of the trade" so to speak....
