I have a one time customer that's at 30 days today-I'm not feeling very confident that theyve mailed a check. However they talk a good game on the telephone. I haven't yet followed thru on my creative payment method: but I'm interested in hearing some ways you all have gotten your money out of customers that made things difficult. Post your stories, give me some ideas aside from my own.

They are going to do what they want to do. Don't like it, don't come back. We'll get someone else with no problem. Offer them a 5% discount and you may get your check in 2 weeks. If that's the case your better off to factor for the same 5% and get a direct deposit into your checking account the next day by 7am

several years back a guy went out of business owing me 1500 bucks, couple years later he opened back up under another name, I booked a load a load from Atlanta to ca for him, told him I needed an advance , got an advance of 1900 bucks, cashed enough comcheks to get my 1500. left the rest . called him and told him thanks for paying.,,, he huffed and puffed , I simply said I collected on the judgement I have against you, it on file at the courthouse, take me to court if ya wish. never heard from him again.

Someone gave you an advance without being loaded and faxing in the BOL? Never heard of that. Makes one think.

Not sure what that means also???? You only get one Comcheck. It's not broken up into multiple ones. You also can't leave money on a Comcheck.

this was many moons ago, not last week but actually a bit more involved. in fact, faxing the bills was impossible because faxes weren't in existence, lol. I went an actually leased on to him, changed the signs and everything. we had previous history at another carrier where he worked before he went on his own the first time. lets say I took advantage of his desperation. I was going over to fulton industrial to pick up a loaded trailer, he needed it moved . the hardest part of the whole deal was explaining to the folks I was leased to why I needed more signs for the truck when I got back to their yard to hook to my trailer. like I said this was many many moons ago, in the days before drug testing , cell phones etc. you simply verified employment on the phone, I couldn't tell ya how may times I helped guys by giving an employment reference for them. when I first went on my own several brokers I dealt with often would give an advance before ya loaded, in fact a guy in the next town over would even let your wife pick up a check when you called and told him you had delivered and was dropping the bills in the mail. it worked cause if ya screwed him over, you would pay, with a pound of flesh.

. I remember I thought the greatest thing was when they put telephones at the truckstops counters and booths, didn't think it could get any better.

as I said this wasn't last week, it was in another galaxy, far far away.

what are ya talking about??? back when I used comcheks and got a code you could use the code get checks for whatever amount ya wanted. I have had a 1500 comcheck printed into 5 300 checks many times.

what would a guy do if you had a code for 1200 and the place only cashed 300 dollars are ya screwed?? I have never had to cash the whole amount at once. like now they put an advance on my card of 1500, I don't have to cash the whole 1500, I can write checks for any amount I want, go in present the card and say I want a cash advance of 250 and do that at 4 truckstops and leave the remaining 500 untouched, whats hard about that?

I somehow sense you think I am pulling your leg on this one. in fact I did it today got a comchek code for 1300 , needed 858.07 , wrote the check for that called and told em I didn't need the rest, so why cant it be done??

I think your talking about T-Checks. If so, why would you take money on a T-Check then make a Comcheck and be charged double for the fees. If you got one T-Check you can take what you want. Stuff just doesn't add up.

lol, whatever you want to think . apparently you think there was no life before faxes and you also think you cant leave money on a comchek card. you also must not have ever had several checks printed from one comchek code.
