Yes you can put a coffee maker in your truck just get you one that has a d/c plug. They sell them at most truckstops. Depending on who you go to work for you might be able to put a small microwave in your truck . That requires atleast a 700 watt power inverter. Some companies will allow you to hook them up some won't. If you go with a company that won't another option for cooking is portable cookers. You can find several different kinds at most truckstops. You can also put a tv in your truck. You probably won't have alot of time to watch it but atleast its there when you do.

 

I also like the Coleman Cooler. Keeps stuff cold, will freeze if you leave it plugged in to long. Also can keep stuff warm. Has adapter can also be plugged into 110. I have taken it into a motel a couple of times.

 

Those coleman coolers are great and you can pick them up for a decent price at Walmart.

 

BEFORE you even buy any power converters, you need to talk with the trucking company shop manager. many trucking company's will allow you to have a power inverter, but THE SHOP MUST INSTALL IT..........!! that way, its instaled properly..............DO NOT INSTALL tthis on your own. if you should screw-up the installation and you start a fire, you will be 100% liable..................

once a power inverter is installed, i'd highly recommend that you go to "wally-world" and buy NAME brand appliances, as i have found the truckstop brands to be higher cost, and not as reliable as a name brand, like say, "Mr. Coffee" or "Toastmaster", or "GE".............

 

usually its free with a certain amount of a fuel purchase, usually 75 gallons.

if you do not need fuel but you still stink, "usually" its $5.00
you give them $20.00 deposit, and when you are done, you get back $15.00. but, this was a "few years" ago, so the showers may be a little more now....

 

basically, yes, its YOUR inverter, right...........?? you wanna keep buying those things..........????????????
