I complained big time. I thought it had no bearing what so ever to see if a driver could drive. Then I was told we haul gasoline and everyone wants gasoline.

the only thing I can see with the credit rating is if you plan on leasing...but I dont see that stopping you from a job do u?

No one agrees with it. But it is pretty widely established that a bad credit report can bar you from a lot of different kinds of jobs. Basically if the employer has decided it matters, then it matters.

Basically your credit is your word and what its worth. The report in this way serves as sort of a mini lie-detector test.

I myself have had REALLY terrible credit in the past. Luckily the 7 year rules are accurate and true.

There are a lot of good credit forums out there with a ton of information on how to dispute negative items on your report for free, and what kind of cards you can get to build good credit as older things age and by the time they fall off you have a really good credit rating again. I strongly suggest looking into it. Just don't pay for any services, you can do everything on your own really easily.
