Just got a call from CR England. I sent an email yesterday to Dan England, never really expecting him to get it much less take the time to follow up on it. The email explained that England had placed an abandonment on my DAC from '09 and that, while I was as responsible as any other party, the abandonment was not justified... or so I felt.

About an hour ago, I got a call from corporate. Very amiable, said they had some questions for me. At the end of the call I'm told the abandonment will be removed.

For all the negative things you hear about England and many other carriers, I gotta say they followed up on this. And while it's true that I got a favorable outcome, I'm most impressed that the company took the time to follow up on an issue with an ex-driver from well over a year ago. I have to say that that alone says a lot to me about the type of company England really can be.

In terms of the incident from '09 - I always felt it was unjustified, but I never at any point saw myself as being some innocent by-stander. I have drive and determination and integrity (as best I can) but I'm no perfect driver - I've got a lot to learn and a lot of maturing to do when it comes to being a professional in this industry.

However, England has stepped up and handled their part and it's time for me to do the same.

But I have to put this out there because there is so much negativity about certain carriers, and when someone steps up I think it's worth noting.

....and perhaps they are desperate for drivers and hope this opens the door for your return.

I suppose that's a possibility, Hardleyevr. But one driver who won't be required to go back through the CDL class... out of the dozens if not hundreds of applications they surely get every day? I don't think it's likely. And they didn't ask me to come back or whether I wanted to. I think they just stepped up - it's not like I'm gonna make or break CR England.
