A jumbo-sized purple "PARTICIPATED" ribbon for everrtruckerr!

Driver B may be happy participating to the tune of 100K a year. As long as B isn't consistently underperforming the fundamental duties of his job - then he deserves the same purple ribbon.

I applaud you guys that can chug along the road for weeks on end. I can't do it. The difference between $55k and $65k isn't a life changer. But, being away from home for months on end is definitely a life changer.

Out of curiousity are there very many women driving for Crete? And are any of them trainers?

I have a question. I just graduated from school and was really considering going with Crete after I got my CDL. The recruiter said that I MUST pass the test on my FIRST try in order for Crete to consider me. Well, I passed the Pre-Trip and Skills tests, but failed the Road test (didn't slow for a school zone). So, since I didn't pass, Crete won't hire me at this time. If I go with another company and get some experience for a year or so, would Crete consider me then? Or am I still out of luck?

    Hey Dodgeram440rt,
Maybe you should call your recruiter and ask them. I would think that if you could get a year, or two, in at another company, that will work in your favor. Have a goal of keeping a great driving record as well and you shouldn't have a problem getting hired. Remember, Crete realizes that you are a new driver, but they have to have a guide-line for hiring. Just try and get hired ASAP so you don't have to do retraining.
Good luck to you! Congratulations on getting through school, and enjoy your new career! Cheers!

Just an FYI for anyone who is in school or thinking about it. Get your applications sent and get approvals from companies ASAP. Many, many companies will NOT take you if much time has gone by. Some will not take you, some will require a refresher and there are a few who will want you to take the entire course over again. Or, go to their school and pay again. So don't take a long time to decide what you're going to do. And, I am speaking from experience on this issue.
