You might be a little more fortunate this time out in Seattle. Living along the I-5 corridor, I've noticed an increase in Crete activity over the last month or so. Seems like every time (usually twice a week) I make the 70 mile trip to and from Vancouver I meet at least 4 or 5 Crete trucks heading in the opposite direction.

Talked to Milan their trainers are booked up for months. Either that they don't want to start newbies in the snow. -

Nothing. I just know a prehire sometimes isn't worth the paper it's printed on.
Some people go to orientations at some companies and get told to go home because of various reasons.
Maybe background checks aren't done until you arrive?
I know I have nothing in my back ground that would be nasty. -
Atlanta is still dead. Had to go back there Mon nite. Actually got two load offers. Pick up tues morning and deliver Thurs afternoon 300 miles away with no chance for a tcall or wait till midnight tues to pick up a beer load that delivered first thing wed morning 350 miles away. I told them I wasn't interested in either of them and was told I would go to the end of a very long line. I drove to the yard and went inside to hang out. Didn't come back out for 4 hours only to find that they had sent me a new offer minutes after I got there. DH to Decatur, Al then run to Coldwater, Mi. I figured there was no way an offer made 4 hours earlier would still be good but I went and accepted anyways and miracles of miracles it was still available. Prior to that I was somewhat regreting that I didn't take that 300 miler with two days on it but instead, in the same length of time, Ive gotten 1200 miles. Sometimes things work out.

Avoid PA! I delivered in York, PA yesterday evening. I'm now at a Rutter's in York, with a nice message on my Qualcomm saying there are no loads available for pickup today, and they're short on loads for tomorrow too. I'm looking at my recap - 20 hours available today. Most likely, by the time I get a load, I'll have a 34-hour restart. But I don't need the restart - I need miles!

BTW, as an O/O leased to Crete, I'm doing compairatively well. 3200+ miles last week and 3500+ this week. I will admit I've been extremely fortunate by staying out of the NE, and in the mid-west where freight seems to have picked up.knighton5, evertruckerr and Elusive Thank this. -
