True dat, but like all those offers you see on TV:
"This is subject to change without notice."
But I'm holding onto my optimism for now. And it's great to hear that you're off to such a good start at Poly. I'll be following your adventures! -
Supersnack on vacation?

Good to hear Packard. You seem to be a level headed driver. I knew as mad as you were that you had exhausted all forms of fixing the situation. Hope this DM continues to provide for you into the future.

Like everything else in this world it all comes down to money. If the other guy had a crappy truck and the incident did not cause more than a couple hundred bucks worth of damage, the other company will probably not even get their insurance company involved. In which case you are off the hook. I had an incident like that at the Pilot in Atlanta. Spun around to get the last spot in the lot and my tailswing scraped this guys bumper. Called it in and they saud they would get back to me. They called back after talking with the other company and everything was dropped. Close call on my part. Never let another crackhead help me with a spot again, lol.

When I was in training I had 2 trainers The first one I went with for about 8 weeks and the second one I was with for 5 days. I learned more about backing with the 2nd trainer in that short time than I learned in the 8 weeks with the first one. I've explained the methods taught by the first trainer to other drivers and they always give me "are you kidding, that's not the way you do it".

I hope you explained this to safety when you had your daily call in. You did call in right? I had my trainer there for the full 8 (actually 7) weeks. He was awesome and told me to call in the first few days, after that they didn't care unless there was a problem. I learned alot from him and called him even when I was on my own, helped with issues that only a vetran Crete driver would know.

Same here. My trainer taught me a lot the school never got into plus he remains a phone call away now.

No I never did a call-in while training. I just filled out my,portion of the weekly evaluation sheet .
This incident would never have happened if I did my math right. I thought I was 15 minutes from hitting my 70, but I really had 45 minutes left. I could have driven the last 15 minutes to get back to the Wal-Mart DC instead of pulling into the truck stop in the dark. -
If you can work well with your Asset Mgr, you can get miles. I was in the Marietta shop last weekend for 2.5 days getting some little things fixed and an "A" service. Did a 34 reset and started out Monday morning with a new 70. Now in 5 days (thru Friday) I had 2200 miles in and sit around 11.5 hours left on my 70. (I get none back tomorrow) I keep moving and average near 2500 a week.
