I believe you missed both numbers that were posted. It was 4000 in 4 and 6500 in 6 from what I read. They should say what they want...kind of what the thread offers...just like you got to Post what you wanted. No need to claim they are sticking up for anything. However, a lot of them DO STILL work there and nothing wrong with taking a little pride in your place of work. Maybe you didn't get the miles you wanted or you didn't have a positive experience with Shaffer. That doesn't mean there aren't a lot of GOOD TIMES for everyone at Crete. I'm not so sure if Posting your miles like they are some kind of pee contest means much to a lot of us on here but so be it. I've had my good and bad times with Crete as many others have had on here. It's nice to be able to share both sides on here. It often helps others with what they have going on. Maybe you get it and maybe you don't. I'm not posting here to try and change your opinion one way or the other. You were off on your reading of the numbers and it's cool if you believe Crete sucks. I believe your post was a little offline but it is what it is. I'm guessing those folks may respond to your post so good luck with that...thanks for reading and as always...TAKE CARE OUT THERE! Just sayin!

A lot has to do with the short trips and tons of wasted time sitting at shipper/receivers. Today was the first day in a long time that I was able to actually drive 11 hours.

For the last week, I have been ending my days early. I parked on Thursday with 2 minutes left on the 70 hour clock.
I have had to refuse at least 2 loads because there was no way I could get them done as scheduled.

My last few weeks have been 2,364; 3,081; 2,815 and 2,950 miles.

My month of June was only about 6,000 miles, but that is because I took almost half the month off to go to Germany.

    July has been very good.

I'm So amazed as to how some of us truckers can calculate miles down to the last mile in a week... do you also count getting off the freeway and lapping the truckstop twice to look for a spot late at night to calculate your weekly mileage as well? How about driving around the scale for weight adjustment and trip paperwork check?
Ever get lost and missed your turn to a shipper/receiver and drive at least a mile there and back?
I dont run miles per mile/not paid. Instead I calculate all my miles as paid and miles run, plus deadhead.
No company pays (that I've worked for) down to the last mile..

I had 65000 at the end of June. almost 11000/ month. I'm pretty pleased with that. I made close to 9000 in July, not bad considering I was home 12 days that month

Gotcha, That isn't bad at all for being home 12 days.. that only left 28-29 days. I understand that you don't see a good month at 10k but interstate has a little less pressure and a little more "no hand holding" that it seems Crete has come to inherit. I honestly seen a huge decrease in productivity as long as just general respect, for me, when we switched over to AM and went away from regional.

I'm calling you a liar but more so that i thought you were saying that you had 65,000 in 4 months.. in which i was saying those are 1970 miles.. lol. I just see so much negativity in here and there's no reason for how Crete is treating a lot of the drivers who post here and in the bad forum section. They used to be one of the TOP TOP companies.. I think at one time, drivers wanted to drive for them more than wal mart. I know i only have 5 years on the book but I heard dad even refer to crete as a top notch back when i went to sign on.

So im not here to attack anyone personally.. but bowlwinkle has a complete different experience.. than say SS. I just wanted to put my .02 in and didn't mean to offend anyone and hey, im certainly man enough to apologize if I did indeed word my last post as being offensive.

I work for a company that pays on hub mile at .48p/m. This is indeed a rare company these days, but most of our freight is company freight & we use broker loads to get us back to company freight. So on that respect we are not like other trucking companies. This does make a difference in how my company treats its drivers.

Lets not forget the number of drivers Crete has and the number of drivers that post here, it is a very low percentage and everyone has different experiences, I for one am in the same boat as bowlwinkle..haven't missed my raise in 3 years here and do not have issues as some do..Crete has its issues but % wise the posts here are small compared to the actual number of drivers crete has..I will post my numbers again after my anniversary date as i have the last 2 years (aug 11th is anniversary date and will have total for the pay year at that time).
On a side note no more maxxforce garbage for me..got me a 2011 no elog cummins prostar..had a cascadia for all of 3 days but injector issues put me in the current truck I have now. 2 prior maxxforce prostars with nothing but problems.

Hey, it's all good. I don't believe your last post was offensive. In fact, I thought your post about your company deal was pretty good. Then when you got the numbers wrong on your next post you were pretty negative on Crete when you really should've just called out Bowlwinkle. I agree his numbers seem a little good for Crete these days. Sounds like both of you are happy with what you have so that's the important part. As I've mentioned a few times. I'm no longer with Crete yet, I always hope the drivers there are doing well. I relate to there Pros and Cons as I'm sure you do as well. Thanks for clearing some things up and I TOO am sorry if my Post offended YOU. That wasn't what I was trying to do. :)

I got my "home load" preplan and I was excited that it was a Wally World for 1830. No problem! I can be there by noon'ish and be about 100 miles from home. I kept reading the load instructions; "Under no circumstances are you to del. early. NO MATTER WHAT DISPATCH TELLS YOU!" Say what? Something about a $400 fine..yadda yadda:biggrin_25513: So I drove all but 30 minutes of my 11 and I'm sitting in a Super8 about 4 hours from cons. Eleven o'clock check out sounds about right ZZZzzzz
