I haven't seen anyone post a spread sheet lately and I don't go quite that far. But I'll go ahead and post my #s the way I do it. Good chance these may be my final #s. Pulled 1st load on 03/02/13. Dropped the sold truck at Deland on 08/24/13. So far not issued another truck. 64,294 hub miles and 62,563 paid miles. A mere 1731 total unpaid miles. 97 loads with the Average Length of Haul (644.97). 147 Days away from home. (425.59) Average Paid Miles per day away from home. I spent 12 days on Jury Duty so approx. 8 of those days would have been work days which would have made the overall mileage #s a bit higher. My norm is work 25-26 days a month. Pretty much on pace to run 130k which is on pace with what I have done elsewhere on E-Logs.

Just spotted a Freightliner with a 37xxx number. There is hope yet!

I was offered a brand new 2014 37*** Freightliner Cascadia Midroof Friday at the Marietta Terminal in exchange for my 2010 Prostar that has been sold. I declined due to needing a double bunk so the wife can come with me. My TM/FM contacted Lincoln and was advised that Midroofs are what the company is acquiring now for Solo drivers. Double bunks will be acquired only for Trainers and Teams. I believe she was being straight with me.
-
Do you already have her authorized as a passenger? If not, that may be why you got the midroof.
-
Yep, got the authorization in June and she went out with me the month of July. 27 days out. They issued her a 10yr rider pass. They struck out with Marietta and Lenoir City. Gonna check some of the other trade-in terminals. Perhaps this conversion to single bunks for solos is deeper in progress than I initially thought. In hind sight, I might have should have took the new Freightliner and attempted to barter it with current solo drivers in double bunks ASSUMING Lincoln might have allowed it. Now they are gonna let us go back out in the sold truck for now and then try to route us to one of the trade-in terminals when one comes available. No matter what, the writing is on the wall. Eventually, all solos will be in single bunk trucks. I actually talked to a Heartland couple who were in a Midroof and I asked them how they did it and they said they slept Head-to-Feet. Seems extremely dangerous to me. A foot to the face during sleep could easily break a nose or poke out and eye.

And in all of this I am not complaining. The owners of Crete certainly have the right to take the company any way they see fit. It just will exclude driver's like me that prefer a ride along wife. It has just turned our world upside down at the moment.
-
I hope Crete finds you a Condo. It will definatly make your time together more enjoyable.
Best of luck to you.Last edited: Aug 27, 2013
