Congrats Snack, you deserve it. Poly would be my dream company, but I had heard the application process might take weeks or months. Since I am in a race to beat all the 'warnings' my TM is piling up on me, I'm just going with another mega carrier who ok'd my app right away. Poly is lucky to have you. Hope to still read interesting stories from you in the other thread.

    * On another note, just hooked to a tcal trailer at Greensboro left WITH AN 8" MEGA HOLE in a tire sidewall. I called it into accidents and they said (no kidding): "we don't make records of that any more". WTF? The other driver had to have driven hundreds of miles on a flat to have destroyed this tire.

Congrats SSB! I hope the best for you:thumbright:

I made my exit from the Motel6 where I laid a very thoughtful and complete complaint to the mgr. She gave me a voucher for a free night at any Motel6. The mgr said she has had numerous complaints about Monica.
Well after another trip to the International stealership my truck again suffered from "100% suit saturation" or something to that effect. They did two parked re-gens and once again my truck is running like it should. I made it ASAP to the cons and it turned into a drop and hook so I was outta there after a quick 30 minute mandatory. Sitting in Cary watching the squirrels play in the woods waiting for the trlr to finish loading. I got about 3.5 hr.s till my 14 is up otherwise I will be sitting here till morning. A quick trip through Atlanta to drop this and pick up just down the road and then home to Dallas for a 9/3 unload. I should make it there Monday. I called my mom to let her know and she was at the hospital!!:biggrin_2551: My dad has a kidney stone. Having had one myself I can tell you there is NO pain in the world like this pain!!! Lucky guy got some ol' fashion morphine and was loooooOOOOooooopiiiiieeeee....haha:biggrin_255: I was given Demerol which the nurse called the magic silver tube. Once OK'ed by the doc she hooked it up to my IV and all pain was gone! I will also get to install my new memory foam mattress and get rid of this two year old mattress in the truck.

That's funny. :biggrin_2559: Sounds like my luck. At least you got a free voucher out of the deal so I guess things are looking up.

I always check the Bed Bug Registry before I go there too. I would hate to get an infestation of those things in the truck.

Hey Ralph...I'm a new Crete driver and I have been reading this long ##### thread for a few days. Anyway, I understand your predicament and if I were in your shoes, I'd leave to. However, other companies aren't any better and pay a whole lot worse. Hence, I have a suggestion for you. Stay away from Crete for about six months and then reapply, however, when you do, make a stipulation that you will not work for Crete again out of the Salt Lake City terminal. That way if you get hired again, it would solve your problem.

Good point. I understand the core problems with the whole industry and why most companies have 70-100+% turnover. But the only way for us to express our displeasure with the circumstances is to leave. I'm sure my new employer will have many of the same problems. But again, there is a certain satisfaction in telling them to f&#* it. I'm going to play this merry-go-round for all it's worth.

Actually, the other company is giving me an instant 10% raise. I have almost 8 years experience now and Crete counted none of it (because I had a 5 year break). The new company is going to count 5.5 years of it. I will write more later, but I need everything to go through first. I could still be sunk by some unexpected maneuver.
