Hey Crete folks, just filled out an application. I have previous experience OTR with reefers that is about 4 years old, been driving more locally since then but have been in trucks non-stop. Are they going to try and stick me with a trainer when I start? Would expecting weeks of 3000+ miles be unrealistic? My previous adventure OTR I had a couple miracle weeks of 4000-4100 (Big trip ending on the first day of the week type thing) and for a long time averaged 3500ish/week. I would love to be able to run hard like this again but it doesn't seem like many companies can keep people busy like this.

3K/week is possible but it will depend upon freight and your ability to budget time. Your AM could play a big part in this as well. Once they learn you're a hard runner they will/should work with you since your miles reflects upon them as well.
Good luck! -
Im out with a trainer now and we did 3200 last week. He showed me his previous runs and if you set it up right it is possible to get that every week.

The main problem for me was lack of communication and cooperation with dispatch. But I made good money. -
Camping at a QT in Phoenix 2 miles from consignee. Can't deliver til 04:00 tomorrow. Pulled 3800 miles on this 70. Start recapping at midnight . Only had 96 miles left to run this morning.

Probably about the same as a midroof Prostar, perhaps a little better. -
I am in breakdown. My truck fell off the tow truck as it was being hooked up and did some heavy duty damage to the front. Looks like I will be going out and recovering another truck. The people in breakdown and accidents did a great job with this one. No complaints here.

Wouldn't want to be the tow driver.
Astoh, ampm wayne and BossOutlaw88 Thank this. -
For those of you with MCP200 q/c units... if you hate typing on the built-in keyboard, you can plug a regular keyboard into the USB port on the left side of the unit and it will work. Pretty cool, I'll likely hardly ever call into dispatch from here on out...unless they take forever to respond. (But then I'll probably just sit on hold for an hour, so it all balances out I guess.)
