I always try to look for the silver lining but after sitting all day in Columbus to babysit a load 55 miles away and after a lengthy unload I'm finding it difficult. Once mt I was sent a load that picked up 15 miles away and delivered today before noon. I had to drive straight through to Indy. I delivered at 0357 this morning and have been steadily awakened by this darn qcom asking me if I'm ready to go. I may be a bit snippy with them if they don't see things my way:biggrin_25517:. On top of all of this I told my AM last week I forgot my meds at home and needed to get back or through the house. I run out on the 16th but they keep wanting me to head north and since i am not in Houston north is the wrong way! :Check route:

EDIT: Just found out my AM is not in today...Happy Columbus day...haha

I don't know the exact number without pulling up one of my stubs online, but approximately $100/ month for medical dental and vision.

2938 miles last week, going very well this week....BUT....I'm due home this coming weekend, and my truck is overdue for service and it needs a few odd things (like the OnGuard adjusted....it keeps looking to the lane left of me, which is only a problem is I'm on a road with a center turn lane, and there is someone there slowing or stopped, waiting to turn. Fun.). Been telling them for two weeks, and nothing.....so....we go on.

Deliver to some of the happiest people on the planet :biggrin_2552: in the morning in Scottdale, PA.

I had been steadily building up my miles after my rehire. Lots of report to this terminal, that terminal for this and that. Last week was over 3000, though, with hometime on the near horizon. So in the "spirit" (words of someone over the qualcom) of getting me close to home, I was given a short load to sit on for three days. With that load and my hometime, next check will be about $50.00 . But really no major complaints otherwise. Whats one paycheck anyway.:biggrin_2555:

I communicate to my AM the "degree of need" of being home on-time each time I'm due home. Now, whether it is used or not is another story. I've had two AMs that use it well and two that didn't. This is one of those times I have nothing planned, so if I get home Saturday, fine. Sunday....even Monday, no problem. My AM got me back to Atlanta last time for my flight out with my wife to NM, so no complaint. However, my first AM made me miss two very important appointments, so I'm not as forgiving or understanding as I was when I started.

First let me say my AM is usually on the ball. He's pretty darn good. BUT.....
He was off yesterday and his temp and I had things worked out but the run home was going to be pretty tight. The temp said there were other runs going to Lewisville so if my ETA changed they could swap me. Since I was short on hours to get to the KC yard last night I asked if there were any of those other (later) runs still available. My AM came up with a perfect run picking up today (preloaded) and to be Tcalled in Wilmer. He asked my ETA in Wilmer and I said I would be short on hours to get it there tonight so it would be before noon tomorrow. "That will be fine" he said. But an hour later he cancelled it and put me on a run not picking up till tomorrow:biggrin_2552: and he said I could deliver ASAP. Haha I'm thinking like "OK" instead of getting home at noon tomorrow I won't get home till the evening. Since I tcalled my load around noon today I have been sitting here instead of running and being able to get home earlier. Sometimes it makes no sense to me.

Another day, another live load, another detention form. Is it just my mood or does it really seem that the places that are most deserving a detention charge are the least likely to pay it?
