Crete Carrier - A Year In Review - Fall 2013 Going Forward

I got a cool load. Omaha to Lincoln to Tracy California 1660 miles delivers on Sunday

 

Crete told him today...buy the new cpap for $350...or go home....this is after he bought the other cpap last year for $900 ......safety said they are making all drivers who bought the cpap machine last year....they now have to buy the new machine...he is now trying to decide...spend another $350 to keep his job...or just forget it and quit

 

"My way or the highway". Inflexibility rears it's ugly head yet again.

 

man-o-man what a day. Elm Creek, NE to Omaha back to Lincoln and now in Cheyenne, 10hours and 48 min.s of driving and I'm TIRED! Temps went from 50 this morning to 80 in Omaha and now sitting in Cheyenne at 40 heading for a low of 34. I'm hoping to make Wells, NV tomorrow at only 620'ish miles. And to think I was gonna take today off and put the truck in the shop

 

Level 1 inspection in California last week....truck passed no problem...this is what the front brake chambers looked like one week later...2014 International ....156,000mi....T/A shop replaced both brake chambers in 2 hours....cost $225

 

I passed a Roehl truck pulling a reefer today. I didn't know they had a refrigerated division. Guess what color the truck and trailer were...baby blue. Go figure.

 

Why Wells and not Wendover? Both locations have plenty of parking. Plus Wendover would be like 560ish miles. Still a pretty good day.

 

What's the reason?

 

They want all the drivers with cpap...to have the machines that transmit the info wireless....to replace the machines they have now....that you download the info from...at the T/A or Crete terminal
