My truck will be done this afternoon, so I should be headed in the general direction of home in the morning. Maybe.

Well, it might be done...if the parts arrive. Already told Marietta I'm not moving to a loaner, not two days from an already overdue home time and mere months from this unit being traded.

Usually if they offer you a new truck or loaner and you turn it down, they stop breakdown pay at the end of the phone call. But it looks like you are out the woods anyway. Good luck.

Yup, that's true. If I had just come out of the house, I might feel differently. But I'm in no mood to get in a loaner. Worst case is being in a motel for one day on my dime.

Every truck in our company that runs thru Ohio, and we are talking a lot of trucks, follows the prepass signal. This has been going on since prepass came into existence. I would think that if it were a problem we would have heard by now.

    ETA Just saw the explanation.

When my starter went out, they offered me a different truck and cut me off of breakdown pay, but they still paid for the hotel until I got out of the shop.

I'm sorry. I'm in Van Horn. This is the second time I've seen "the west" with my own two eyes, and I still feel the same - I'd be content to never set tire east of US 83 again, except to go "home".

I am so fed up with the East. Especially now that Pennsylvania has lost its luster with me (once upon a time, it was pretty much my favorite place on the planet - alas, a visit in 2010 revealed a Pennsylvania I no longer knew or loved). I now have no attachment what-so-ever to any place in the East, and by East, I mean pretty much anything east of US 83.
