Just when I brag about having minimal problems with the load planners.....

Today, I came as close as I've ever come to swearing over the QC. Same issue as it usually is....no one, other than my AM, reads messages. I told them early today that I've been out 52 days (my choice), and the last few have included a 1900 del and an 0500 del, along with three consecutive minimum breaks. For that reason, I'm taking this afternoon off to catch up on a bit of rest.

So, after coming off a stellar 275-miler, I get a 250-miler, nearly half of which was picking up 118 miles away and delivering early in the morning.

Nope. Read my PTA time again.

Pick up 98 miles away, deliver in MI at 1400 tomorrow.

Now, I'm steaming, and that's when I let loose.

Now, I pick up in the morning and head to Ill for Wednesday by 1400.

Im physically and mentally tired. Not Crete's fault, but not helped by the continuing lack of any effort whatsoever to read stuff beyond the first line on their computer screen.

I have no doubt this is true. That's why I ask one question at a time.

Besides you could always adopt ol' Tucker's approach. Don't send in your MT call till the next day.

Yep, one question per message. Actually only one thought per message. Never write more than 3 lines. You have to remember that, even though you are only talking to one person, that one person is being messaged by 70+ other trucks wanting his (or her) attention, too.

As a matter of fact, that is exactly what I'm going to start doing when I feel it is in my best interest to do so. Tucker's not the only one who does it. I've talked to a lot of Crete drivers lately who told me they do the same exact thing. Why do a MT call late in the evening when you may get a crap pplan. Do it in the morning when your AM comes in, and the odds are you will get something much better.

In the 2+ years here, I have yet to figure out why they ask for our PTA when much of the time, it doesn't matter 'cuz they don't read it....and the other odd thing is during this nearly two-month excursion, I've had better luck with weekenders than the weekday staff.

I really need to quit trying to figure it out. Might keep my BP down....

Don’t feel pregnant, as you are not the only one who is aggravated. When I delivered my load at Kelloggs in Lewisville, TX this morning, they didn’t have any MTs. So I ended up with a pplan to pick up a t-called load in Wilmer, TX to take to the Tom Thumb Warehouse in Roanoke, TX at 05:00 AM in the morning. So I got to sit the rest of the day only to have to wake up at 03:00 in the morning, which sucks to high heaven.

It wouldn’t be so bad, but after I delivered my beer load from Fort Collins in Grand Island, NE Saturday morning, I got the Lewisville, TX load that I delivered this morning, but I couldn’t pick it up until Sunday morning in Omaha. Another wasted day.

Now all this sitting is after I had a miserable week mileage wise last week.

Finally, after I deliver that load in the morning, I will pick up a load at General Mills down the road also in Roanoke, TX and take it to Louisiana for home time. Which will be only 4 days late.

Not to mention that if every time I have to go home, I will have to suffer inadequate miles because of it, then I may also go get my tanker certification too. Wink! Wink!:biggrin_25525:
