Has this ever happened to anyone:
I was sent a preplan that picked up today in La Porte, TX (Emptied this morning in Houston.) Preplan says delivery in Ochelata, OK is 6/11 0000 to 6/11 0000.
I accept the preplan and when the load assignment comes, the delivery times are different. Load assignment says delivery is 6/10 0606 to 6/10 0606. Not able to make the delivery appointment at 0600 tomorrow morning.
This is the second time it has occurred for me...last time was a month ago when I had a preplan that said delivery was 5/19 2300 and when the load assignment got to me it showed 5/17 1300. I was able to make that still, but today's...no way. When I told them I can't get there tomorrow at 6 AM, they said to keep them informed after I get loaded. They are going to work with CSR to get a later appointment.
Just wondering if anyone else has had that happen...or if I am just the lucky one.

I've had them. Dispatch tells me to go get load head that way then we will send appointment. Either something can't do legally or appointment comes as your getting close and don't deliver for 2 more days.
-
Happened to me just last week. My assumption is generally the CSR will see you've got the load and schedule it according to your eta and hours available. In practice they tend to ignore both. Which is why I won't be accepting those anymore... I'm sick and tired of catching flak for being "late" for a load that never had a chance to be ontime.
-
It would have been fine if they had left the DATE the same on this one. I get them all the time with no real appt made, and then get an appt sent later. This one has an appt in the load info for the wrong date (according to the preplan).
-
Are they making you guys follow appt times when you go into a Walmart DC? When I was there you could deliver as soon as you could make it legally and it was always a D/H.
-
After getting snide remarks from a certain CSR who does the Lewiston paper place. I refuse to accept those loads unless they understand full well what my ETA can be. I had enough of that gal out west! Even my AM had my back when it came time to deliver. They should not be able to send a preplan without a del. date.
EDIT: I thought I found that missing tractor.....just one stinking number off...haha I was counting my fi hunna bux walking over to check it out. -
Walmarts are always a D+H. Early delivery depends on the shipper, whether or not it's a 24-hour drop also depends on the shipper. Generally you have to deliver on the date shown in the Qualcomm. K/C loads to Walmart can deliver the day before, usually. You can hit the guard shack one hour early at Walmart regardless, so if your "appointment" is 6/10 0001-2359, you can show up 6/9 2301 and they'll let you in.

Joe...snide remarks always came from my dm

my dude is cool. I even called him a liar once and he didn't get mad. He really doesn't let things get to him. Very laid back kind of guy. He's only gotten a wee bit flustered once and I called him out on it...I laughed saying he is human after all. He got a chuckle. We have a good rapport with each other.
BTW after the dude fixed my flat this morning he gave me an air gauge! Now I don't have to stop by Lincoln and get my freebie...although I just may anyway....nutten like a freebie! -
I thought so too but I was turned away at the Wally in Cheyenne, WY because it was a live appt. It took a call from dispatch to Wally to change it to a drop. I can understand some live loads on the Schaffer side but not on the dry side.
