Can somebody tell me what I 80 in Pa is like since spring? I'm heading to Tappan, NY and haven't been on I 80 since maybe Feb. Mostly interested in construction zones that might cause a long delay. Thanks.

Im the expert, a few single lane construction, I haven't seen any backups, the single lane from the 92 to 97 is a little slow, but not bad.

I recommend the TA at exit 232, a short walk away is the Quaker Steak and Lube. Enjoy

Not a very productive day today. I’ve been sitting at the Town Pump in Missoula, MT since a little before 11 AM this morning. They initially sent me a PPlan to pick up a load at the paper mill in Lewiston, ID and take it to Oklahoma City, but I had to turn it down since it was a live load scheduled for 23:59 tonight. There was no way I could drive from here 287 miles to Lewiston and still have hours remaining to pick up that load, especially since I started my clock this morning at a little before 7 AM in Rocker, MT just east of Butte, MT. So here I sit. Anyway, I have a little over 2300 miles already for the week, so it might not be a total wash. In any event, they have to get me to a terminal to take another physical before the 24[SUP]th[/SUP].

I'm on my first load with Crete tonight, although I'm on the "shaffer side".
Came over here with less than 1 year because well I could be better than the 20 something CPM I was making. Plus did my research on here and most seemed happy.

I thought all of those Lewiston loads were drop/hooks?

Well folks I'm here to tel ya, I found a hotel even I wouldn't stay in. Travelodge in Davenport, IA at the 295A. I mean it's BBBhhhaaaddddd! I've stayed in the middle of Malaysia in much nicer places than this place. I called the cops to go inside with me when I asked for a refund. The cop waited outside and said I just saved myself from a nightmare. I had called them initially to ask about street parking down by the Baymont but he didn't suggest it. "What if the night shift didn't get laid today and he's in a bad mood?" :biggrin_25525:

So I made it to the Peelot at the 292 and feel much safer..I know it's a sad life I lead.

But none the less I was trying for a 34hr reset so two nights in that hotel was never gonna happen. So I might stick it out here in the truck or just slow my roll towards York. I have all day Saturday to drop and New Kingstown is less than an hour away. Which is about all the time I'll have for Sat. if I don't do a reset. And to think I ran 650 miles today; Big Springs, NE to Davenport, IA.

Routing has me going 80 to 322 so as to avoid the tolls on 76. I'm wondering if it's not just better to run 76 anyways. I mean it's all on the toll tag :dontknow: Not sure if they'll catch it.

I did too, but I asked for clarification and was told it was a live load.

Catching some heat on my Reefer thread for planning to return to Crete from the haters. Why do people hate? What good does it do?

I think that sometimes people are offended if you don't like what they like. They can't appreciate that people are different and want/like different things. They shouldn't take it as a reflection upon their choices but sometimes they do.

besides haters gonna hate it's what they do.

Been away from Crete since 2010, but a recruiter from there keeps calling. I haven't kept up on all the reading here.

Does Crete use elogs now? Do they let you have 1500 w invertors? Do they get you home when you want to. The reason I quit was too long of stretches before I got home and I put in my request at the right times and always stayed out 24 days.

It was 24 days at least, they never got me home less than 30. Thanks for any and all replies...........Paul
