Never been to this one before and probably won't be back. Lesson learned. Funny thing is my first 3 years OTR I spent the vast majority of my time running up and down I5 on a dedicated account and never bothered stopping in here. But again, lesson learned.

    I met TruckerJimbo here! He's a cool dude...for a Schaffer driver ;) Chatted him up a bit.

OK plan's back on course! They will replace the entire bunk a/c unit since the International dealer had one in stock. No idea who here at KC said they stocked it but at least the I/H had one. I did lose the load going to Omaha though. My AM t-called it since I will be ready to roll Sunday and that load didn't deliver till Monday. NASCAR tonight though!

    TruckerJimbo Thanks this.

I have a new (well rebuilt I'm sure) bunk air unit!! I will not say anything else about it for fear of jinxing myself.

I did find one thing out though. You are not allowed to even walk past the shop and look at your truck. I was yelled at by the service writer about that. Well okie dokie then :biggrin_25523:

I did get a load out though. With a fresh 70 I get a load picking up tomorrow at 1000 delivering in Houston at 1300...on Tuesday :( 2.5 days for 735 miles

Hey, Joe, it was nice meeting you, too!

I left out shortly after that, stopped in Mt. Vernon, IL for some of that high quality Pilot fuel:biggrin_2556:, then on to the Pilot in Oak Grove, KY. Parked at the one at exit 89.

Is pre-pass still driver purchase? If so, how much is it? Are you green lighted enough to be worth the expense?

I finally got home for my home time im taking 5 days off after being out 7 weeks
my last time out I pretty much saw the whole country
I see why most dont hit the mountain west alot of the south east drivers cut off is texas east
    from what I have heard

I have prepass, it is $16.80/month. You get by 95% of weigh stations that have prepass, there are still states that don't use it, so depends a little where you are running. I think it is well worth the expense.

I pay $14.90 a month with the OOIDA discount, which cost $25 a year.

it's good, but if I get a green light, all the other drivers behind me with a green light pass me, as the trucks are coming out of the scale.

Call me a #### but that's why I move over one lane to the left after getting a green light. Let the super truckers blow by me on the right only to have to jam on their brakes for on coming scale traffic.
