my last 3 loads were all between 1200-1600 miles each on the Shaffer side
last week though they dead headed me 70 miles when I was in hartford to get a load going 160 miles.
Obvious I didn't understand that one, things have been good overall though.

How would you expect/demand to be paid for the following which fell under 1 dispatch of allegedly 109 MT and 1 Loaded:
Hooked to MT Reefer at Deland Terminal and dropped at Carrier dealer in NW Jax; Bobtailed to South Jax rail yard and burnt an hour there; Bobtailed back up to NW Jax to drop lot and hooked to loaded trailer; delivered 5 hr live offload at Publix West of Jax with O,S, AND D! Yes, ALL THREE! 10.5 hrs of my clock tied up on this allegedly 110 mile dispatch.
My interpretation since every location required time on duty:
Nothing for Deland as my starting point; Carrier dealer is shipper; Rail yard is stop 1; Drop lot is stop 2; Publix is Consignee.
Therefore I should get mileage pay, short haul pay, and 2 extra stop pays. I never count on Detention pay cause they rarely pay it.
How would you guys seek to be paid on this deal? -
You'll get mileage, short haul and have a good argument for extra stop. File for detention is all they'll say. Jacksonville sucks because it's so darn big. Chalk it up to rocky start and chive on.

I'm doing ok have a 545 mile run delivers @11:30 ct
At a lowes store in russellville, ARxlsdraw Thanks this. -
I had to have my Mechanicsville, VA appt rescheduled. Coming from Colton, CA and told them when they preplanned me, I could not make the scheduled appt. I am now in Checotah, OK taking a 34 hour restart, at the Flying J. I have to deliver on 7/17 @ 0300 now. A couple long days of driving, but I will make that. Without the restart I would have only 8 hours to run between today and tomorrow. (7 hrs avail now and gain 3 at midnight.) The restart will make it whole.

Sitting in the Loves in Rhome, TX....deliver at 0800 in Ft. Worth, 28 miles away. Decided not to do a 34....and still have 10 hrs a day to work each day til I get home next weekend.
Trying to hold off going to the shop until my next A service, but my AC is acting strange. Yesterday, it took a full hour before the compressor kicked in and I got cold air. This morning, it was 3 minutes. Lately, the average has been 30 minutes. I'm hoping it just needs a charge...blows cold when it gets going....xlsdraw Thanks this. -
Rant time!

I had a nice and very slow weekend run to Hattiesburg. 0500 delivery so one might think they would have something lined up for us. I say us because there were two more Cretens at Dan's truck Stop and Cafe waiting for the Sam's DC. I was up first at 0500, next one was 0530 and the last 0600. I send in my MT call at 0600 just as my PTA indicated and then......then.....then.....then....then...nothing! I sent a message asking if there was anything since I was sitting on the side of the road in front of Sams. Then they finally sent me a preplan. It's 90 miles away and picks up at 1300!!!!!!!!! I write back "are you kidding me? Isn't there something else?" I get a response of "I'm just sending you what we have" I may be wrong (I guess I am) but shouldn't "PLANNING" have been ...well planning something? I mean for two days they've known three trucks were heading to the same place for some pretty early delivery times.
I got to the shipper and called in asking if there is/was anything else picking up sooner since my day is wasting away. "If you don't stay on this load the next load picks up at 2200"...well splendid! BTW I talked to another crete truck here at the shipper. He's been here since 0730 and still not loaded!
I may just dust off the ol' college degree and hit me up some office work..haha I hate cubicles. I mean I drive in one everyday but at least the view changes
