Crete Carrier - A Year In Review - Fall 2013 Going Forward

Unless things have changed your home time doesn't start till midnight after you get home. For example, if you get home at 0800 the rest of that day is a freebie and doesn't count.

 

I got my preplan to get me home Monday, super tight on my 70, I can deliver on time, but the 100 miles home might involve a little off duty driving.

 

Had put in for hometime to start yesterday. Instead I'm on a 680 mile run that delivers Monday morning and puts me 830 miles from home. Not the first time it's happened and it's getting old.

 

You should have refused it and had them find you a load home .
I'll get home a day late, but great miles for being a day late.

I might take a vacation, Malasian Air is having a great sale on flights.

 

That's what happened to me yesterday...got empty after my 14 was done, 86 miles from home. But, parking at a Flying J as I do, it was just as easy to get there this morning. Wife picks me up there....

 

Did refuse it. Waited 90 minutes to have it sent back with the "don't have anything more direct" line.
I think most of the people in Lincoln are hard working honest folks. It pains me when they lie.

 

I should end up at Nashville Sunday afternoon, I have a big window to deliver east of Louisville on Monday. If I can behave myself, I could be home Monday about noon, I'd hate to have to wait for hours to get home on Tuesday, I guess I could hang out at Leavenworth and take the extra day off. Who knows?

 

The screwing continues.

 

In orientation last week they bragged that overall expense to bring 1 driver aboard is $8k. They are fixing to lose their ######.
