God what a day...Got word last night that load delivers 0500 this morning, 120 miles put start break right after 10 hour break....get there 0430...wait in long check in line....last one in 2nd to leave...head to social circle for d&h...nope no trailers so live load...3 hours to load me...get on scale, way off 6th hole 28k up front 40k on back...being too tired to think, instead of getting reworked tries to slide tandems, another driver from company helps by getting handle...it won't slide....he said trailer brakes shot...he was looking at them....call breakdown....4 hrs left on 40, will get guy there in 2 hours...im flipping out need to get off property, he shows up, breaks are fine and said the slide was just stuck, sprays it, works, slide tandems to front, not thinking again, made weight worse, try to move them back, won't slide, wife points out impossible for load to scale right so getting reworked, bobtailed to Ts to take break....#### is killing me

I think I had a productive day today.
I was staged at the drop yard in Romeoville, I dropped the loaded trailer at one Kim-Clark and bob'ed over to the ProLogis Kim-Clark for a loaded trailer. I was taking it to St. James, MO at the ol Wally World when I stopped for a 10-100 at the rest area on the left on I44. I got a preplan on the Qcom and it was a repower off of the E.St.Louis drop yard. So I dropped at Wally and high tailed it over to the drop yard. I checked in, d/h'ed and scaled in 30 minutes and was back on my way. Stopped at Mt.Vernon for the night and a 1000 appt in LaVergne TN so I have to leave here around 0500.
I tried cashing in my vacation time but was told it took a couple of days for payroll to do their thang so it would show up. It doesn't matter because I won't get the money till the 08/07 paycheck anyways. Darned if Henry Repeating didn't send me a nice little email about all of their new rifles. I've been jonesing for one of their .45 lever actions for some time now!
EDIT: only 565 miles today but pretty near 11 hours on the ol' clock though. -
