Crete Carrier - A Year In Review - Fall 2013 Going Forward

After my unit software-updated a few months back, I haven't been able to get an external keyboard to work anymore. Don't understand the point of that. Maybe they're afraid of drivers trying to hack the system? You could do that just as easily with the built-in keyboard.

 

I got a fuel solution to fill up at Petro in Dodge City, AL this week. There's a Jack's right next to it, so I went there and got a big plate of biscuits and gravy. Jack's is one of the very few things I miss about living in Alabama.

Got a message that the truckstops at Perrysburg OH at I80 exit 72 are without water until further notice. Something about toxins in the town water supply.

 

True, for Toledo and that entire county. Boiling does no good, as it only intensifies the toxin in question. I picked up in Toledo late this morning. Now at the Indy yard for service tomorrow.

 

With these bottom feeders....Swift/Gordon/May/Heartland paying their drivers peanuts, those companys can afford to underbid freight and still turn a nice profit. I can only name about 7 locations in OR/WA/ID that are regular D/H customers of ours.

 

If I could get sent to the west Coast 1 time for every 10 loads into Pennsylvania I'd be happy but it ain't happening
