Well, I had one of those days we all dread...a lot of effort and time for nothing.

Delivered Friday in Breinigsville. Next load...pick up in Blandon, PA for delivery in MI Monday. I ask if there is anything more productive, and they tell me to t-call it at New Kingstown. Cool.

No empties, so they tell me to roll over to Palmyra, PA in the morning for one. OK. I do so. No empties. Wait about 20 minutes, and get a message to check out three places in Mechanicsburg! Now, I started in NK....would have been easier to stop in M'burg first.

Anyway, I'm trying to get either a load with time OR a 500-ish miler that I can squeeze a 34 in with. So guess who comes up with the plan in the end?

Cory. Yes, that Cory. I end up going back to NK, pick up a load to deliver Monday at 0800 in Indiana, and by busting butt the rest of today, I'll be able to just barely get a 34 in. First time in a long time this has happened to me. But it really started at DSC Logistics in Breinigsville. Busy as all get-out, and the senior guard is training a new guy. And Mr. Sr. PlayCop is talking non-flipping-stop. Trucks waiting to get out....a line waiting to get in.....and he's chatting about restaurants with the newbie! I finally got a little angry and told him I've got stuff to do, along with the other dozen drivers waiting on you!

I'm at the TA in Wapokoneta, OH now. 60 miles away from the customer, can start Mon at 0600.....hoping I can cover 60 miles in 90 minutes.

    The End.

THat TA sort of sucks, the manager of the Flying J north of there could tell you where to walk to a place to relax.

Yeah, not my favorite....but it's en route. Super Wally is a mile up the road...weather permitting, I'll get my exercise in tomorrow.

Finally made it back to the truck, after a great day , turned down a 570 mile preplan that delivered Sunday, not enough time on my 70 to do it, they change the delivery time til Monday . It goes to Searcy, AR. I reply back " Welll then I'll accept it Monday morning sometime, thanks for the prompt replys to my messages, you rock"

plus I'm 4241 miles past my B service, my washer tank leaks like a seive and I have a cracked henway, uggggghhhhhh

    48Packard Thanks this.

Cory is a d**k. I was in Upstate NY north of Utica with 5 other Cretes that had all delivered wire out of El Paso. Consignee told us we had to leave Cory tells us we have to stay until he figures out what to do. Consignee tell us he's about to call the cops so we all leave to go down to the casino 35 miles away which is the closest parking. Cory tried to give each of us a service failure. This was a Wed morning and none of got a load till Friday afternoon so he got his revenge. I despise the little pr**k.

Still stuck in Carlisle. Was told if I get apu fixed on Thursday I'd be in shop by Friday. It is now Sunday early morning. Said later today at 1700 before they left. Not very optimistic.
