They got to rid of the sliding scale. They're only a few cpm less, for some drivers, which is important, but we have a lot more rules on us here. I was told crete pays the best because they expect the best. Well, when they want more from us, but pay like the rest, what then..? Looking a their table for OTR with 1 year xp, they pay 40 cpm. 3cpm bonus if u stay out 4 weeks (one more than crete.) I can't say their management doesn't suck, but again, much easier going there. Also, the drivertech blows these #### Qualcomm's out of the water.

Last year, crete was a huge step an over other OTR carriers. We're really not that far ahead anymore now.

    TruckDuo Thanks this.

I'm just going off of what their website says, it says TOP Pay is 43.5 at US Xpress

Even if your rate is accurate 1 year XP at .40, 3cpm if you stay out 4 weeks

Crete at one years pays .43, Shaffer, .44 which is still more than US Xpress anyway you look at it.
and it is practical mile here, I have noticed the miles I drive are very close to what I get paid on.

My last company I got screwed left and right on paid miles.

Remember Crete just raised their pay .02 across the board in April.

Crete was a huge step over carriers because other carriers bend over and took advantage of their drivers by paying them garbage.
Now they trashy companies are losing drivers and can't keep them (even more so).. soooo finally they are waking up and raising pay.

Oh and I'm still on paperlogs at Crete, at beats any e-logs lol

Another reason US Xpress is great......they don't bust the drivers balls for idling.

Crete pays 43 CPM if you stay out 3 weeks. Xpress pays the same if you stay out 4. That's the 1 year rate for both. The mileage pay is very accurate, practical mileage is great, I'm just saying the step up to crete isn't leaps and bounds any more, it's a skip and a jump. Why are you bragging about paper logs? Logs department is ridiculously anal here, you'd make better time on ELOGs with less hassle. Even the old guys who are afraid of computers that I've talked to here say they didn't look back after one week, because I know Crete doesn't let you do any cheating on your paper.

This is a bit personal for me tho I guess. I go to bed cursing this company every single night because of this ####### CPAP mask, but I used to tell myself it was worth it because I made so much more here. Now... I screwed up big time coming here. I endangered my career too, I kick myself every day for it.

In your particular situation, a return to USX may be the right move, if you didn't burn the bridge on your way out. But if you really have Sleep Apnea, why blame Crete? Eventually the whole industry, at least all the big boys, will be doing the same as Crete.

Crete pays 43CPM on all miles

they still find ways to pay you less at US Xpress
for example if you head out west or to FL you get paid .35CPM there

    http://www.usxjobs.com/landing/new-pay/

You can earn .41CPM home weekly, I've seen the AD for the knoxville location.

Anyway for OTR Crete still pays better than 99% of everybody from what I've seen for the OTR gig, not by much anymore though.
Yes there's more BS you deal with here no doubt.
For me as long as I'm making good money that's all that really matters anyway.

Only companies that want to profit off of sticking their
drivers with these overpriced Cpap machines.

hahaha they're anal here about safety, it's not they wanna profit over selling you stuff

They made me go out with a trainer (even though I had current 7 months clean OTR experience) for a month paying me $600 a week while paying my "trainer" on all miles PLUS an extra $125 a week for training.
After orientation they made take Defensive driving course and paid me $70 for the day to do that. (which I felt was pointless, it felt like I was back in high school drivers ED)
I caused a minor scratch of my trucks body paneling in a backing maneuver at one of their yards, me wanting to do the right thing even over something minor I reported it.. in return I was hit with 5 "safety points and had to sign a form saying I'll take Defensive driving course AGAIN. No I am not joking.

When it comes to safety they spend the money even if it makes no sense.

However if your truck breaks down... you can kiss breakdown pay goodbye, they send somebody out there to pick you up to go and recover a different truck for you to work out of.

    a lot of BS here
    but the money is good
    so whatever

Its very rare for me to get a good long load. Maybe they know I like the cheesehead state. I'd rather be at Black River Falls, down at the Cozy Corner drinking with the locals or over at Tomah staring at the bartender, she has got the best thigh gap.....
