Crete Carrier - A Year In Review - Fall 2013 Going Forward

that statement says it all...just waive the white flag and surrender your rights to these mega fleets...don't you think it's highly suspect that a company who does sleep study's and sells equipment now all of a sudden has offices in a trucking co's offices and how out of the blue everyone seems to be all of sudden have sleep apnea??...the writing is all over the wall on this and with this attitude it's no wonder these mega fleets abuse the drivers the away they do...simply because they get away with this and with no pushback..

I see this on a lot of Crete trucks. After reading the Crete threads what I've learned is you can succeed at Crete if you can put up with this:

1. Be diagnosed with Sleep Apnea even though you don't have it

2. Switch trucks on a regular basis since they breakdown

3. Pay a lot of $ when you see your doctor since Cretes insurance sucks

4. $900 for a inverter if you get approved for one

All of the above good with you ? You then are a Cretein

 

I picked up a run from the Georgia Terminal
Going to the Memphis area
Still have to get to my old truck since I broke down last Thursday in antioch, TN

 

My last 2 weeks have terrible
But that's because of labor day and my other truck broke down I guess I need to take the good with the bad

 

All I know I'm ready for my home time after next week

 

Consider yourself lucky that you didn't have my week.

Me: I took the sleep test (with 3 other people that night) and none of us were diagnosed with sleep apnea.

2. Switch trucks on a regular basis since they breakdown

Me: I have had the same truck for 4 years and 450,000 miles. 2 major breakdowns for a total of 8 days.

3. Pay a lot of $ when you see your doctor since Cretes insurance sucks

Me: Even though I think there is a $25 co-pay, my doctors office issues me a credit for it after the insurance pays, so I end up with $0 out of pocket for a regular visit.

4. $900 for a inverter if you get approved for one

Me: This one is just crazy....if they really charge that they should be shot.

Me: Not all have problems here, I have been here 14 years. Although I do admit it is not the company it once was, what you get in here is a very small sample and mostly people with some axe to grind.
