I wonder what happens if you get an overspeed over 72. I was going down an unusually steep hill and my mind was on other things...looked down to see I was doing 75... oops.

 

Not anymore. Lots of those ####### are going 61-61.5 now. Pisses me off to no end.

 

I've been well over 70 several times and (knocking on wood) I've never heard a thing from safety. Not that I'd ever admit to it publicly... or did I just do that...

 

I'll run right up to 70 if trying to get around a 61mph Prime truck, but I never let it go over that.

But with a mom, that I'm quite close to, that may have Alzheimer's... at 56... well, I'll just throw the words "emotional stress" out there and let y'all figure out the rest. Last time I went home, she was having trouble holding conversation.

I've been to NYC once. And that one time, they said "yes" to my inquiry over the q/c as to whether they'd pay my overlength-overwidth fines should I incur them. Usually that results in the preplan being cancelled. Guess that was an important load and they had no one else to move it.
