I live in SC. Never get thru or even near there during my tours. When I had this discussion with our ops manager, he told me, quote, "you've been to SC twice since July".

"um...look at the details of the following loads and tell me what you see...."

"oh", he says. "Those were your trips home."

    "I rest my case."

Was planning on buying my own truck earlier this year, but it didn't work out. Gonna try again first quarter of '15. Got my goals firmly in place...theoretically, anyway!

Crete should have 2 party months a year, where drivers can pick anywhere to stop for a couple of days every couple of days.

Knowing Crete.. you'd only be able to pick "anywhere" just as long as it's anywhere in the Northeast :biggrin_25513:

That's because it's still an OTR company at the end of the day lol, that's why.
All OTR companies suck at least here we get paid better than most anywhere else.. for OTR.

An LTL linehaul truck driver would laugh if he saw our paychecks... and he'd be laughing in his hotel room while we're laying in our Freightshaker!
    Go figure that one...

and they want to put camera in these trucks... pssh
We're not all dumb truck drivers here, we have many options.

Swift pays .40 now Crete's .43 doesn't look that great anymore.
Not that Swift is great LOL, but when their pay is close to ours.. you know there's an issue lol

I wouldn't be here if I was only making 43cpm... my paychecks are the only reason I'm still here. For now at least.

Anyone know if 15's still messed up in NV? I'm heading for SLC from Barstow in the morning and I probably better figure out if I need to detour or not...

    1 year experience =

    .40 at Swift

    .43 at Crete

if you've been here a bunch of years you're higher up obviously.
I'm still new here.. anything less than a year seems new to me at least.
