Just passed through there on I-40. I don't think I have seen a ten mile stretch of road with more restaurants than right there in Amarillo. Definitely gonna stop at the Big Texan next time.

No buildings yet, I think I can afford a nice garage, driveway (capable of holding this truck), cistern, septic and lake. Than I'll have to borrow to build a small house.
I'm not sure on Madison, stay at Nashville, Lincoln AL, Jasper TN or we have a customer in Albertville, AL. I spent the night there once, great bar and grill a medium walk aways, but they knocked on my truck way too early to unload me early.Wild Murphy Thanks this. -
I like the new detention pay, last week I had a load from Edmond, OK to Indianola, MS. Load was suppose to be ready at 15;30, I got there around 11:00, it wasn't ready, bobtailed around , went back and it wouldn't be loaded til 18;00ish. Picked it up in the morning as it had plenty of time on it, and made $183 in detention pay.
Plus the rare winnings from the casino in Greenville, MS. I was happy with my 15 to 20 dollars I was up, but I just ordered a drink, so I threw $20 in a giant roulette machine, It was REAL complicated, and $5 a bet, I freaked and tried to cancel it, but it locked me out and spun, I cashed out $190 on one spin.
The buffet sucked, and the steakhouse was closed.
Here's a great story on driver pay

Has anyone ever received a referral bonus? And has anyone ever looked at using it to boost your income or did you only give a referral if someone approaches you?

The worst I met was a driver on the North Platte Walmart fleet, he'd really recruit drivers for OTR telling them how he hit his 70 every week and reset at home. Pure Scum!
the tire still ain't fixed and it looks like snow and cold for most this trip, I'm sure I'll hit my 70 before I get to Maine. -
