Crete Carrier - A Year In Review - Fall 2013 Going Forward

I'm RDO21. There has always been a great deal of variance between the mileage Crete drivers report. I ran good my 1st time here and I am running even a little better this time around. I was run poorly my 2nd time around and that was 100% on the lazy AM I was given. I did not run good with Shaffer either, but it's harder to get the miles I desire with Shaffer. Have you addressed your concerns and expectations to the Ops Manager? I do when I deem necessary and the guy has always stepped up for me. I'm naturally aggressive when it comes to earning my living. I think the industry as a whole, both drivers and ops personnel, is overrun with unmotivated folks. Hence, the system will be mediocre if you let it be.

 

aaaaand surprise... only 2 guys scheduled in the Columbus Shop for this Saturday as well. I checked in a couple of hours ago and was told it would be at least Sunday before they'll even touch my truck... and they won't do the B service either, they're just going to fix my newly leaking center differential, throw a couple of tires on it and send me over to TA for the service. Maybe I'll get lucky and my terminal staff will find me another truck in the morning... or not.

 

This is my most miles on a paycheck ever week, possibly. 4,485, seems the load I dropped on the 3rd, somehow didn't get Transflowed until the, the, ummm. Independence Day, dang you Siri.
I guess I was fixated on getting to Amarillo for the um fireworks.
But in Amirillo, I did meet a younger me, it was weird, I thought I was one of a kind.

 

Are you still here in Columbus?

I'm serving a 3-day terminal jail sentence... in being depressed over my mom, I got lazy with turning in trips on time and they finally got sick of it...fair enough, but I'll be here in Columbus until Monday morning.

 

They managed to get my truck in the shop this afternoon (which they said they couldn't do), do the service they said they wouldn't be able to do and DIDN'T fix the differential leak like they said they would (not bad enough per the shop foreman). Last fail of the day is on tires... They know the tires are bad but they won't replace them until morning. Strike one, two and three.

So yes... I'm here and I'll be here until at least tomorrow morning.

I'm in Wilmer, had to get a new windshield. Unfortunate encounter with a flying rock on Sunday afternoon.

 

I'm at KC, just got a new windshield last month, always nice to have the new glass.
I think I might stop Transflowing stuff, 3 days off away from home, most people call a vacation

 

I got a new windshield a couple weeks ago also. I'm at Deland Terminal and gotta go another round with Lincoln tomorrow.
