I bet that's actually a 24-hour drop. Call dispatch to be sure. I can't count how many times, back when i was regularly getting drop-anytime loads on both ends, that I would see something like "0001-0600", I'd call in and ask, "we show you can drop any time on that day." Once I got one that said 0001-0300, in a major city where we don't have a yard, and got the same response, it's a drop any time, so I proceeded to grill them on why in the name of all that is holy did they change the early delivery time to something that, if I took it at face value, would require me to leave and go deliver at a time of the day when I would come back and have absolutely nowhere to park, to which they replied "the computer looks at your hours and does that automatically to keep you productive" - called the ops mgr the following Monday and it was confirmed. Told him the parameters should be changed so it never shows earlier than 0600, because that's just shafting drivers in many cases.
Kept occasionally getting them like that. And of course now days I hardly ever get drop anytime loads.

Could the Lincoln shop suck any more?? Plus it looks like their training new mechanics too. I totally freaked out one of the trainees.
They tell me to back into Bay 31, so, I'm driving along the building and the mechanic points at the door, me, "you want me to pull in?" I crank the wheel hard left. I had no chance of making it, as I was 15 feet away from the building when I started my turn.
So, I had to back up and then set up for the back, while this one trainee kept leering at me, like I didn't do it for the heck of it.
Oh, I nailed the back up, without a pull-up.
But, I got to Lincoln Tuesday at 17:00, pried on the bolt in the trailer tire and,,hisssss, so I drop it and try to write it up, NOT HERE, so I tell the 90 year old mechanic my problem, he writes the trailer number on his dried out hand. SIGH,
After AGT (21:00) I check and still see the low tire. I tell the young puke in the shop office to get that tire fixed, but he insists that I tell the 109 year old man, I don't...
I delivered in Lincoln at 7:00, went back to the shop, went thru the inspection lane and finally dropped it in 31, dropped, and pulled forward.
And sat, and sat.
For a tire
No one told me they were going to play on my trailer all day.
So, me, being in no hurry watched.
They rarely worked on it.
It was a 219??? ), so they installed the bat wings, ( it's due for retirement soon)
Finally, at 19:10, I could rehook and pull her out.
Odd

Since nobody has been talking in this thread I can only assume the Poly thread has everyone glued to their screens.
So I will tell you guys a story.....
There I was rolling back towards Houston on I-10 coming up to the Katy area weigh station. Sporadically open this scale has a very long entrance lane. It's actually the service road for the most part. Of course this time it was open as I passed the flashing lights indicating that status. I line up about half a mile back from the scales behind the last guy in line. The lane behind me quickly filled up with more trucks. About 10 minutes later they turned off the open lights and trucks began by-passing. Stuck there I creeped up towards the scales. Apparently they were selecting "winners" for further scrutiny. I made it to the scales where the troopa' was standing. He motioned me to stop as he walked across the lane in front of me. I was thinking I was the next contestant but NO. He went to another truck in the next lane. After he walked by I thought I was good to cross the scales; I thought wrong! He started yelling at me to stop as I was halfway across the scales. He came walking over to my driver's window; demanded my license. I gave it to him and he told me he wanted me to go to the next cross-over, come back to the previous cross-over and come back. He "wanted to weigh my (empty) truck. So I do as told and come back to the now closed and empty scales. "Oh crap" I thought. I was sure to get get raked over the coals. I stopped before crossing the scales but the troopa' was still working with the other driver. I stayed there for about 10 minutes and then he rolled down the crooza's window and motioned me forward. I got up to where he was parked and he motioned me over to his window. Told me to always obey his instructions and that was I was free to :get on down the road" I thanked him and counted my blessings..haha
He never did weigh my empty truck..haha -
Yesterday I got pp that was to pick up at 10:00 this morning at the paper plant in Shelby NC. When I arrived to check in, the shipper told me he would have to reschedule because he didn't have any of the product for the load. So that load gets voided and I get a pp same shipper, for a load scheduled to pick up yesterday at 11:00. I go ahead and accept, as I can see two Crete trailers in the "loaded" area. So of course I get sent off to be live loaded and naturally 2 and a half hours in and they haven't started. While I will put in for detention, my gut says I've been suckered.
