I don't blame you, by the time you got the new truck cleaned and moved in, the old one would be fixed.
But it keeps them from paying breakdown pay.

Astoh and Lone Ranger 13 Thank this.

Next batch of new trucks ..includes 300 internationals....with isx cummings engine.....so says Moe...the guy over Crete shops....he called me after my ...not kind..postings on Crete / Facebook page...about lack of motivation and speed...of the Indy shop.....but Moe was nice about it....said he understood...and was trying to make all Crete shops...better for the driver...time will tell I guess

I was a bit of a supertrucker in my time, if that means getting a load delivered on time. That used to be the Crete way. You got it delivered and they didn't say s.
I never really could make the adjustment to running completely legal, for the sake of running legal. I was eventually kinda threatened with my job for not always complying with hos rules. And I was there for 18 years. I was told that if I didn't start complying, I would be looking for a new job.
I hate the 14 hour rule . I hate the 10 hour break. Any new flexibility Crete allows is a positive in my opinion. It seems the rules today are geared toward lazy , unproductive drivers who like to have an excuse for poor customer service and late deliveries. I never really could make the transition.
When on the road, I wanna work, not take 34 hours off when all I need is a good 8-9 hours of sleep.
I hate what the government has done to this industry.
If you like to work, this is the wrong business.

    Astoh Thanks this.

when they send out a real pos, they need to send out a real good preplan for the next load right then,
I have to go back to Ohio, I hope I can do 620 miles today.

    Astoh Thanks this.

Maybe why lds anymore seem to have....way too much time on them / non productive. ...asset mgr told me ...most of her new / younger drivers...would refuse lds that were over 400 mi a day...told her is was too much..for them to do...in one day

    Lone Ranger 13 Thanks this.

Which way do you think is more productive / mileage wise for the driver. ..run always off recap...Or use up all available 70hrs...then take 34hr reset...
    And start again
