Whenever you hear someone talk about how cops are heroes and how dangerous their job is, show them this:

According to the Bureau of Labor statistics, in 2016 truck drivers were 75% more likely to die doing their job than cops were.

Truck Drivers: 25.6
Cops: 14.6

 

That’s a lot of pilots dying, seems odd to me.


That’s good you got a raise. But I’m not a fan of that per diem thing.

 

I think the per diem idea is because most of us won’t be itemizing our taxes anymore. I have to pay for a place to park on hometime, which I deducted. I’ll wait to see what they come up with for per diem, but so far I’m not a big fan of tax “reform”.
