For you all drivers that are thinking of going to work for this company, you need to think, before doing. This company will not behind you when you get hurt on the job. They don't care about there drivers. I had a dolly handle bar break. And i fell back against the trailer behind me. ( i was dropping and hooking trailer's ). Open the back of my head, injuried my neck, shoulder, right arm, right hand, right hip, right leg, right foot. And this company doesn't want to do any thing for me. I've have not received any medical help or wages. I've had surgery's, and need more. I'm still under doctor's care.

well for one if this is the case, that you were injured on the job and they refuse to do anything then you need to contact an attorney. well also i have to be somewhat skeptical about your story. well i for one would doubt that a company wouldn't send you for medical treatment for something like this considering it's a liabilty. I'm suspecting that you didn't inform crete and went to doctor on your own & if that's the case not much they can do for you because they weren't notifed at time of accident.

You didn't mention anything about workman's compensation. Are you getting it?

If not, why aren't you? Not to take the Crete's side, but you should be drawing workman's compensation. Your medical bills should also be covered by workman's comp, since it was a job related injury.

Did this incident happen on company property? Are you still employed by Crete? Were you terminated? If so, I would agree with drvrtech77 that you should consult an attorney.

I've seen many drivers hurt themselves on the job and blow it off.

Why do you think you are told that in case of injury notify your supervisor as soon as possible (ASAP!) If you did this especially by QC there is a record of it on the system.

Next GET A FREAKING LAWYER! NOW! Before that record does slide out of QCs servers! If you have waited very long then you are to blame in this!

I'm not taking Cretes side either but you really need to move on this ASAP or suffer whats happening.

    To the rest of you.

    Workers Comp has a rule...

NOTIFY YOUR SUPERVISOR AS SOON AS YOU ARE INJURED!
If you don't then it's on your shoulders. And your wallet!

One reason is due to false claims as in Monday someone shows up at the doctors with a problem and they tell the desk it happened on Friday.

Yep red flags start to wave and it turns out that this was a something that happened at home and the patient is trying to get WC to pay for their "Hold my beer and watch this" moment!

If you so much as scratch your finger you should be on the QC with a report unless you don't want WC to deal with your paper cut but anything else a "Paper Trail" is needed so that IF what you say did happen then Crete will have no option but to follow WCs rules. OR show up at the doctors office or ER and have the injury put into the system ASAP! Once in there and you have started the paperwork at the company end you are covered.

About ten years ago I was a contractor for Crete, I hurt my back doing a drop and hook, I was out three months, got a workmans comp check in the bank every Friday, and was called at least once a week to see how I was doing, and I wasnt even an employee.
Just saying, I know it was a while ago, but a company doesnt slide down hill that fast. Hope you did everything by the book.

Hope you are doing better, Good Luck and safe miles,

    Larry

Crete Carriers medical group insurer is "Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska." When I worked for crete I thought the medical insurer was very hard to work with. They just refuse to explaine how the insurance company works. You should be eligble for workers compensation benifits. Good Luck..

With this amount of injuries......you'd think he was hauled off in an ambulance?
