    #### no man I don't hunt anything just for sport:) I eat coons, opossums, nutria when I was in Louisiana, deer, turkey, hogs just about any critter that gets in my sights during hunting season. I generally fry the young squirrels and add the older ones to some homemade dumplings.

Pretty warm and muggy day in 'nawlins' this morning. Didn't manage to get my po'boy either which sucked but had a real good chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and turnip greens tonight that somewhat made up for it.

Well so much for someone reading and acting on my QC messages that I sent last week about getting home on a certain day. Not too pissed I suppose as I got another 1000+ mile run up to Bolingbrook, IL and then hopefully another 1000+ going back home. Three back to back long runs have been a nice change of pace.

Glad to read that they are running you hard. I am just finishing my last 3 days of my refresher coarse. I have been off the road for awhile and needed to touch up on a few things. Haven't decided who I want to go with yet. Either Prime or Crete. Both seem to have some pretty happy drivers.
I never have had squirrel in dumplings but love them on the grill rottiserated.

I had thought about Prime when restarting out but that #### 60,000 miles with a trainer didn't set too well with me so I went another route. That amount of time is probably a good thing for alot of really new drivers but for someone with more experience it is overkill in my opinion.

Good luck. Secret, those does eat just as well:) We can keep getting unlimited extra doe tags after we use our initial 5 tags in NC. I killed 18 two years ago. Helped feed all the neighbors. Got pretty #### good at processing everything myself and making sausage and some #### good jerky. Truck driving last year really cut into my hunting time and I only managed to kill 1 so the freezer definitely has some room in it now.

A fairly easy day today. Nearly knocked out 600 miles. Sitting in Effingham tonight with only 3.5 hours or so to get to customer tomorrow. Got me a nice juicy guacamole steak burger at Steak and Shake. I like that restaurant alot, just not many located near the truckstops.

I like to quick brown squirrel meat then simmer it in gravy for awhile. Cook up some rice and pink eye purpled hulls.............corn bread.

Yes they pay for lumpers. In the 2.5 months that I have been here I have not had to do any loading or unloading. I think I have had to pay for lumpers 2 times.

I hear you i think the does taste better sometimes, the older bucks meat seems to be rougher tasting. I try to get a nice buck with the bow.

Same thing here, the county i live in has unlimted doe tags so later in the season i try to pop a couple of does to stock the freezer.

To bad you aren't pulling a reefer i'd say swing by the house and i would load you up to take with you ( Hah Hah Hah )

Finished up my load in Bolingbrook and then had to take the empty trailer to the Wabash place in Lafayette, IN to trade in for a new one. Got to keep the new trailer all of 30 miles as I picked up a load from the ConAgra facility in Lebanon. Going to a WM in the morning. Right at 80K, I got it axled out but not good enough for where the back axle needs to be for IN and IL so I will just run the back roads if the scale is open in IL. Only got about 4 more days of clothes left so they better start aiming me back toward the house soon:)
