You're not doing all these miles in a 62 mph truck are you? If so, those are some long days...

    Week 32

Been several days of Kimberly Clark since I delivered in Vineland. A real nice drive up through the backwoods of New York to reach the plant in New Milford, CT. Had my first semi bad roads of the winter which only lasted 30 or so miles when I woke up to snow on I684 in NY but by the time I hit the city it turned to rain. Been really hustling with a lot of short loads the last couple of weeks but they are managing to add up. Sitting at 9960 after I drop the load tomorrow in Jacksonville. Taking my hometime in NYC at the beginning of March so looking to have my second best month with the company albeit I had no days off for the entirety. I did stop through the house a couple of nights ago for what amounted to nearly a day at home. Getting use to these drop and hooks. Will be 4 in a row tomorrow.

    2/20-2/23 Temple, TX -- Waxahatchie, TX -- Vineland, NJ -- (1507/1611 miles)
    2/23-2/23 Vineland, NJ--Logan Township, NJ -- New Milford, CT -- 236 miles
2/23-2/25 New Milford, CT -- Beech Island, SC --- 870 miles
2/26 Beech Island, SC -- McDonough, GA -- 156 miles (+25.00 short haul)
2/26 McDonough, GA -- Social Circle, GA -- Jacksonville, FL --- (37/376 miles)
    -------------------------------------------------------------------
    Week 32 = 2806 miles (+25.00 short haul)

A pretty tough week with some unusual p/u times, detentions, screwed up dispatches and some other #### but all in all not too bad. Had a chance to stop in and see friends 3 nights (Lafayette, LA, Houston, TX and Alexandria, LA) for dinner and drinks. Last night I bought a 30 lb bag of crawfish and my friend boiled them up with some other fixings, good times. Got a good load heading north for a change and looks like I will be a day behind all of the ###### weather the whole way. Heading through my old home town tomorrow and probably going to stop to take my mom out for lunch and a short visit.

Wow, I just got ignored on my question, or did I?

Are you doing these miles in a 62 mph truck? Was just wondering how long your days are with these weekly miles. Thanks.

I am a driver on the Shaffer side unless you are a contractor, all trucks are at 62, the best week I had so far was at 3280 and with all the waits and delays, I was hard up against the 70 wall.

Just because you post a question doesn't mean you'll get an answer.

Yeah my truck is governed at 61.

Dropped at the railyard and got a questionable load as it was going back near my regular homestop so I asked if my new home time destination had been added and of course it hadn't been so I had to deal with that. Got a different load picking up from Palatka and going to Lewiston, Maine. Dropping it off in Macungie and hoping to p/u something headed to NYC. Going to put me close to 11K for the month.

When I got new drive tires mine went to 63 mph but it's slowly returning to 62 as they wear down some. I guess the increased circumference gave me 1 mph:biggrin_25520:

Thanks for answering. I have been reading your miles updats as I can and think that you guys work some loooonnngggg days in order to get some of the miles you get. You guys definitely do some hard work! Phew. Anyone that says driving isn't hard work should read this thread.

Thanks for letting us all know how Crete is. Stay safe.
