    No problem bro.

Yeah I will be the last one to tell anyone that trucking is an easy job although I think it is much easier than it was when I first drove back in the early 90's:) Put in a real solid 635 miles today from just south of Jacksonville to Ashland, VA. Trying to get this load up to Macungie as early as possible to give the next driver plenty of time to get up to Lewiston. Pretty #### tired.

It must not have been that useless since you don't understand the concept of people not talking to you...

Dont know if you have been there before, but I believe it might be drop and hook, when I have been there, back haul out of there has been SAPPIE paper or Poland springs water load, If you go to Sappies Paper Mill up by Waterville Maine, Stop in to the Goveners Restaurant by Wal-mart, for a sea food plate you will love it, great seafood, truck parking on the other side of restaurant as you drive into the wal-mart on the right.

Decided to leave from home time a day early so as to ease the transition out of NYC. Actually left Saturday night to go p/u a trailer in Jersey City, NJ but was sent to a warehouse that is no longer open so I decided to call it a night and start fresh this morning. Finally got a place to p/u and empty and then headed over to the A.H. Busch facility for my current load into Akron.

After having my son with me for the past three months it was really hard to look over at the empty passenger seat. In good news though he made the cut into the most sought after high school in NYC. Perhaps he will be back out for a few weeks later in the summer after taking care of some tests.

I have really been scuffling for miles since I came back out on Sunday. On my 5th load so far which I will deliver early tomorrow in Fairless Hills, PA. Had to reject two load offers during the last few days as they just didn't make any sense and was quickly rewarded with better options. Sitting with a little over 1800 miles in the last 4 days. If you ain't getting miles here then something is just wrong with the way you are doing things. I have had to ask for something better several times and have never had much resistance to getting something different. If a trip is not maximizing your time out here ASK for something else. It would really be nice if they would have multiple load offerings on more occasions.

I applied for another post doc position at the Missouri Botanical Garden. Probably stand a fairly good chance of getting it but it doesn't list the salary. Would have to be better than the last one I did though for me to consider leaving here.

The old load offering system was a beautiful thing. I fondly remember a 10 load stretch I had, averaged 2200 miles per load.

Real decent week as I should be in Council Bluffs by early Saturday afternoon to put in a reset and take some duckets from the poker players at the Horseshoe:) Picked up my first placarded load with Crete today and while I had several shorter loads every one was a d/h this week with the exception of this last one which they knocked out in under 30 minutes. That is one of the bigger differences between Roehl and Crete along with the pay. I had many times more live unloads/loads with Roehl than here. Out of the last 14 loads 11 have been d/h on both ends, 2 d/h on one end and 1 live load/unload on both ends, that is #### good.

Oh well if you get stuck in Council Bluffs this weekend come find me at the poker tables:)

    Week 34
    3/5 Maspeth, NY -- Newark, NJ -- Akron, OH --- (50/474)
    3/5 Akron, OH -- Solon, OH -- Kalamazoo, MI --- 297 miles
3/5-3/6 Kalamazoo, MI -- Grand Rapids, MI -- West Jefferson, OH --- 370 miles
3/6-3/7 West Jefferson, OH -- Findley, OH -- Gouldsboro, PA --- 612 miles
3/7-3/8 Gouldsboro, PA -- Pittston, PA -- Fairless Hills, PA --- 160 mi (+25 short haul)
3/8-3/11 Fairless Hills, PA -- Aston, PA -- Omaha, NE --- 1248 miles

I finally had a plan to get me to Lincoln to retire my current truck and get to orientation.

Then I lost the V-pod in the turbo. Lost the first load, the pre-plan, and am sitting in the hotel in Indy at present.

Still hoping to get to Lincoln by Monday, but based upon the tales of several drivers who had "repairs" done at Indy, it's difficult.

I've completed my first month, and while I'm still encouraged, I'm certainly finding out first-had about the company's quirks.

    Hang in there 48:)

Sitting at the Loves in Gary tonight. Going to try and get up early so I can make it to Council Bluffs by early afternoon. Somehow lost a placard from out of the placard holder today. Took one of the remaining ones and made a copy at a Pilot and duct taped it in and hoping for no rain:) I usually grab a couple of extras from the shippers but failed to do so this time and of course one escapes.
