They still are hurting for teachers in my area but they don't consider me "highly qualified" because I don't have an education degree, just a Ph.d with a 3 year post doc at Duke:) They have an alternative license which they give to people with 5 years experience in the field and they count the 3 years at Duke but won't count the 2 years of actual high school teaching experience in New York city. Just a bunch of ########.

Made it to Indy and got all my needed parts and paperwork. A nice 637 mile day and should get me back on the day shift as I just have to deliver down the road at 0930 in the morning. Struggled in the early morning and pulled over for an 1.5 hour nap. Bought a couple of "energy shot" bottles at Wal-mart for 1.00 a piece and tried one out and it did work pretty well. Don't like to use stuff like that but nice to have one in storage when needed.

Unloaded at CVS with no problem and got a Lowes p/u in North Vernon, IN heading to Mountain Home, AR. Decided to pull up short tonight in Mt. Vernon, IL as the load doesn't deliver until 1530 tomorrow. Helps to even out my hours a bit and will keep me off of the graveyard driving although potentially leaving me out to dry in podunk Arkansas for another load until the following morning. Need to get my cb fixed. I rarely use it but not having it on in the background leaves me feeling a bit naked.

Well if you get stuck in a podunk town until the following day always nice to have your best friend living in said podunk town:) Called my buddy up after dropping my trailer yesterday and we went and played a round of golf and had a nice dinner afterwards. Got a load today picking up down the road and heading through my old home town so I am going to stop and take my mom out to dinner tonight before rolling on into Big D. Would be nice if all the trips worked out this way.

Had a nice visit with my mom and watched my nephew play a T-ball game last night. Rolled out of Malvern, AR this morning and delivered in Garland shortly after noon. Got a load after that picking up a couple of blocks away at the Kelloggs plant going to another Kellogg's plant just north of Dallas. Now sitting at the J on the south side of the loop and picking up at the Corning plant in Waxahatchie in the morning and heading to poduck SC for Monday morning. Should be a pleasant two day drive.

Just bought the plane ticket for my daughter to come visit me and travel on the truck with me for the summer. Really looking forward to spending some time with her and I hope she enjoys the traveling around with me as well.

Going to be a big gap in between the time I took off and restarted but in order to get a good look at a 52 week year I will do what I can to reconstruct things and continue forward.

    Week 37
3/26 Jacksonville, IL -- Mt. Sterling, IL -- Vidalia, GA --- (269/895 miles)
    3/26-27 Vidalia, GA -- Statesboro, GA -- Midway, TN --- 457 miles
    3/27-28 Midway, TN -- Greenville, TN -- Huntersville, NC --- 297 miles
    3/29-4/1 hometime
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Miles: 1023 (4 days hometime)

    Week 38
6/2-6/3 Colorado Springs, CO -- Windsor, CO -- Tulsa, OK --- 844 miles
    6/3-6/5 Tulsa, OK -- Jenks, OK -- Greenfield, IN --- 679 miles
6/5-6/6 Greenfield, IN -- North Vernon, IN -- Mountain Home, AR --- 571 miles
6/6-6/8 Mountain Home, AR -- Yellville, AR -- Garland, TX --- 453 miles
    6/8 Garland, TX -- Lewisville, TX --- 31 miles (+35.00 short haul)
    6/8 Lewisville, TX -- Waxahachie, TX -- Abbeville, SC --- (33/994 miles)
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------
    2611 miles (+35.00 short haul)

Not too shabby considering I had half a day off to play golf with my best friend in Mountain Home and another evening spent with my mom and watching T-ball games:)

Sitting in Abbeville, SC tonight at customer. Looks like we have some empties here so hopefully just a DH in the morning with a juicy run afterwards.

So much for the DH and the good run afterwards:) #### insulation places invariably suck. Got in the dock early but it took them over 3 hours to unload me. Got a subpar run down to Jacksonville, FL (330 miles or so) which doesn't deliver until tomorrow morning but I usually get something decent out of this area so hopefully that will continue.

Sitting it out at the customer again tonight, suppose I will watch the next episode of Ice Road Truckers to pass some time.

Another Loves to add to the Truck Stop guide. Guess they took over one of the stops on I-95 exit 29 in Georgia. The reason I mention this is they have a Steak and Shake inside which is one of the few fast food places that I like and unusual to find near a TS. The guacamole burger is pretty #### good.

Unloaded in a timely manner this morning and picked up another load in Jacksonville going to Hattisburg, MS. A nice DH and picking up next door tomorrow going to Fort Worth so filling up the logbook with some nice miles after a couple of slower days.

Got my Ft. Worth load off a little early and got a load picking up in Roanoke, TX (western Ft. Worth) going to Baton Rouge for a 0130 delivery in the morning with no place to park after unloading. I told them the problem that I would be out of hours so they got me off the load although I told them I could pick it up since I was nearly there and drop it at Wilmer and they were agreeable with that. #### I hate D/FW traffic. Took me about 1.5 hours to make it from western Ft. Worth to the Wilmer yard but oh well, got the load here on time that the other driver should be able to roll into Baton Rouge with a little spare time left. Awaiting my next load and hoping it doesn't involve going back across town during rush hour.

No love on another load today so stuck in Wilmer for the night. Picking up a load of tile tomorrow and heading to Minneapolis for Sunday morning so not too shabby I suppose. Got my laundry done and watching the ball game tonight.
