The first two weeks I got over 3K. Below is a synopsis of week 3.
Aug 1-Aug 2 Midway, TN -- Chattanooga, TN -- Menasha, WI --- (695/975)
Aug 2-Aug 4 Menasha, WI -- Appleton, WI -- Cherokee, IA ---- 477
Aug 4-Aug 6 Cherokee, IA -- Fort Dodge, IA -- Allentown, PA --- 1202
Aug 6-Aug 7 Allentown, PA -- New Kingstown, PA -- Matthews, NC --- 572
-------------------------------------------------------------
Miles = 2946 which also included a 34 hour reset
Sitting in New Kingstown awaiting the morning to roll toward my delivery on Monday morning followed by home time. Pretty solid week considering I spent 34 hours sitting in Appleton, WI doing a reset. Wasn't planning on getting home until Thursday, which is why I did the reset, but it worked out ok I suppose. Got my second interview for the teaching position on Wednesday.

Are you hauling for Crete, or a mix Crete - Shaffer, and based on what you haved learned now, which one would you haul for, if you had to make the choice again?
ThanksLamborghini Owner Op Thanks this. -
I only haul dry van stuff. I don't want any part of those early morning deliveries from the reefer side and I am getting too old, perhaps lazy, to deal with the flatbeds.
Had to nurse 79800 all day long. 33960 trailer, 34120 drives. I was a little concerned about the drives after I reweighed 120 miles down the road and I had only lost weight on the steers. By the time I had reached the NC line I was at 33980 drives, 33960 trailer with 1/8 tank of fuelAll that work and the NC weigh station was closed.

majestyk,
Just finished the thread to this point. Looks like another winner thread for Crete. I have to agree with your observations about science / religion, being an engineer myself. But then I digress.
I wish you the best of luck getting back into the classroom. We need more quality teachers in the country. I am currently working on my Masters and getting back behind the wheel and will be working on the PhD the same way if I can get through the MS well.
While you're with us please keep up the posts ... they're nearly as enlightening as evertruckerr's. Keep the gravitationally assisted friction rollers to the asphalt.Lamborghini Owner Op and Jayhawker Thank this. -
Well got my teaching position so looks like I will be turning the old truck in in a couple of days. Best of luck to all of you guys. Only been at Crete for about 4 weeks but nothing but good things to say about them during that time. Perhaps I will drive for them in the summer if they will let me.

Good deal, I am happy for you. Good luck with the new gig, and enjoy all the young people that you get to work with. I help at a summer camp for teens every summer, and I love to just sit an talk with the young people that come to camp. It is interesting how no matter the age, all of our hopes and fears are pretty much the same. Again, good luck!!!

Thanks very much PA. I am indeed looking forward to getting back into the classroom. I really love working with the kids. I am a hard ### on them but they seem to love me anyway

good luck out there. -
Well looks like I will be back in the truck again. Got hired by the school and then not allowed by the district doing to not being "highly qualified", thanks Dubya. Our education system is in a sad state.
