I had almost the same, was going for Marten then they said the 5-2 days account filled up and they have only the 20 days, so I might as well go with Crete cause I assume the pay is better but again they don’t have an APU which not a big deal, where I live there’s good account with Knight 2-3 nights out but it’s ports and I heard nightmare about that account..
Sorry couldn’t really answer you but my guess is Crete, Pride pays very low.
I dunno about legend they advertise good money but their drivers don’t seem happy.

Also @Chinatown can help you out

If you are a new driver be very cautious with Pride. They have long period where you need to team with your trainer. If you leave for any reason they charge you a large fee, in the thousands. I don’t have my old offer in front of me so I don’t recall how much it was. And that is if you already have your own CDL. Run away from that. But maybe they’ve done away with that bad policy. Double check and read it carefully if you are looking at them.

Personally I’d go with Marten. They have CPM on the lower side but very good accessory pay. For example if you are snowed in they pay you to not drive. They have many other types of accessory pay. Check their website. A larger portion of your pay will accessory pay.

    Go with Crete.
They at least don't pay trash and have lots of drop and hooks.

I drove for Marten for 10 months to finish my otr experience. They are sticklers for hometime and worktime days. Something I learned the hard way was that Marten carries primarily food and food almost delivers at night. driving around and backing into slots is very difficult when you have lights everywhere.

I appreciate the feed back, I have a year experience and I’m running away from team driving, didn’t know pride is team tho…
Also I don’t mind the night driving and yes I saw Marten does guarantee pay which is nice but over all seems Crete will over pay that but just running miles no guarantee with Crete I think and it’s mostly dry van

What’s your thoughts on JB Hunt where I work they say and recommend it it’s a good company but I didn’t find good reviews about it.

I’d ask them all what the CPM is and the average mileage for whatever account they want to put you on. Does you no good to get 70cpm and only 1000 miles. Better off at 53cpm and 2500 miles.

Where are the terminals located? Close to you? Can you bring the truck home with you? Is home time guaranteed? Seems more likely with a close by terminal. Then after I’d look at the other stuff but I have to ask…

Why nothing local? After a year you pretty much have a golden ticket.

Regarding my comment about teaming, that was specifically for new drivers and only for a few months. Maybe that is not the case for experienced drivers. Regardless, Crete will pay better CPM.

Crete is 100 percent dry van. Their reefer division is Shaffer. They are separate from a dispatching standpoint. You only pull dry or reefer depending on which division you sign onto.
