"As fuel costs rise it is important that we continue to do everything we can to control those cost. To improve fuel economy we have begun reducing the maximum road speed setting of all trucks from 65 mph to 62 mph. This will save over 3 million gallons (14 million dollars) of fuel a year. Engine idle time also adds to unproductive consumption of fuel. We ask that when possible you work diligently to reduce engine idle time. Fleet management staff will monitor engine idle time and work with those drivers who are above expectations. This summer we will also commence retrofitting auxiliary power units (APU's) in approximately 2,000 late model trucks. Additionally, details will be provided as the schedule is developed. Thanks & please drive safely."

per the qualcomm message I just received.
