I have a question for a Crete or Shaffer driver or employee I'm attending orientation next week and they require a
Pretrip inspection and road test on the first day if you miss anything on your pretrip
Or road test will they fail you and send you home or is it just to
See what you know befor they send you out with a trainer?

The road test isn't hard, they know you're a student. Just relax and don't do anything really stupid/unsafe.

getting a call tomorrow to find out if i'm headed to Tenn for orientation, apparently i'm getting a rental car to drive up from south Alabama. what is involved? will I be sent out with a truck from there? with a trainer (I'm fine with that, 2 years experience but all in Louisiana. no OTR exp)? is that determined by my performance?

I'd be surprised if you have a trainer with 2 years of driving. The paperwork you can learn in orientation and you already know how to shift/backup which is half the battle in training.

Then again, I don't know what their specific policy is.

    ghostdog Thanks this.
