JD, please read the testimony from a former assistant administrator and chief safety officer for the FMCSA. (Julia Anna Cirillo). She states under testimony; "in summary, traffic operating at or about the same speed, regardless of speed limit, is the safest traffic environment. Jurisdictions should do whatever they can to encourage this operating environment, and should never require the opposite". www.ooida.com/straight_talk/Cirillo_Testimony.htm And, there's lots more. We all have to watch out propensity to believe what we WANT to believe, me included.
-
OOPS, correct link address is; www.ooida.com/straight_talk/Cirillo_Testimony.htm
-
For some reason, when I post this address, this website deletes the underslashes between straight talk, and between Cirillo and Testimony. ??????????

I do agree it is safer for traffic to flow at or near the same speeds. That is common sense.
Also, could you cite me the source of your knowledge that Crete executives are ex-schnider execs.?
My point? You are ignorent of what you speak. However, ignorance can be overcome, and I hope I can help you achive that, in a friendly way.Last edited: Jun 27, 2008

JD, I have NO idea what you mean about Schnieder executives being Crete's, or whatever you said. Please show me the post where I said that. Also, the word is ignorance,
-
The word is ignorance, NOT ignorence. Also, split speed limits cause the difference is speeds that can cause those kind of problems. You ARE proving yourself to be very stubborn. And, please use spell check if you have a problem with proper spelling. I honestly can't find that study that Virginia did, will keep looking for you. It was done some years ago. Please show me where I said the Schneider thing! You may owe me an apology, friend.
-
As for the spelling error, get use to it. I do have A flaw. However, stating opinions as facts is not it.
-
Here it is in a nutshell people: No matter how much you whine about it, No matter what facts and figures and studies you reference and quote companies are turning trucks down to save on expenses related to fuel. There is no changing that, so, your chest thumping and bleating will do nothing constructive. Deal with it.
