Cretes Further Decline

JD, Hey, no biggie. To me it looks as though we both make some valid points here. Don't see the need to continue to argue. We have enough stress to deal with as drivers as it is. Just be safe out there!

You know, I drive at 65 or below all the time. I get good miles, plenty of time to do it, and I get to the shipper/reciever on time. It is all about time management, and allowing yourself enough time if there is an incident. It boggles my mind when I am in a 75mph state like Tennessee when I see the same truck pass me four times on my way from Nashville to Memphis. It is like the rabbit and the turtle, I just keep cruising along with good mpg, while the rabbit is burning all his trying to do 80 to go 100 miles to stop for another hour. Oh well, just an observation. Thanks for listening.

 

I am so frustrated seeing so many "...decline of Crete" threads in this forum. I joined Crete because of the information I read in this forum and I do NOT want some other potential safe driver not coming to Crete because of the increase in dumb threads. The lowering of the speed limiter is not my favorite thing but I do make more money than most drivers and i have NEVER worked for a company more organized and employee friendly than Crete. The change in speed is not a decline, it is a reaction to a very serious increase in the main operation cost of the service we provide. So here it is..I like +.41 cpm, practical miles, detention pay and working for a carrier that I have pride in..therefore, Ill drive 62 and not have a pet.

If I might add a thought.............

How about the trucking industry do like the airlines...........

Everytime things go up for them they charge the customers....Not take it out on the employees or make them make concessions....One starts the others follow.........hhhhhhmmmmmm
