criminal record in a foreign country

hi guys

i have lived in england all my life. for various reasons i am thinking of moving to the states to live and work. im a U.S. citizen so no reason i cant.

i know that the economy over there aint to good at the moment and that the trucking industry is having a tough time but i still fancy having a crack at being a truck driver.

i know all most all companies wont hire guys with criminal records. I have a recent criminal record in the uk for drugs, not sure if it would be a felony or not.

Would a trucking company check if i had a record in another country or would they just be satisfied that i had'nt commited any crimes in the USA
