False Bomb Threat Conviction? How can you get that & still have that super secret security clearance?

How's your driving record? Do you have a CDL?

Have you looked into having the BT expunged from your record? Might cost you a few $$ with an attorney but if you were and have been a good boy and explain it to the judge, you might get it removed.

With a false bomb threat conviction You might not even consider trying to get a HAZMAT endorsement. That might limit you at some companies.

i have been honest with my background? i cant get it expunged because i pled no contest to the charge. but i did no time and just paid a 270 fine after the fact. its misdemeanor not a felony. any ideas or thoughts on this would be appreciated

normally, you don't have to list a misdemeanor on an application, and espically one that old. I have an almost 20 yr old federal felony conviction and I don't tell anyone about it.

It depends on your state laws concerning criminal records and employment disclosure. I come from Colorado, and there is no forgiveness there. You have to disclose everything, and with internet records, its hard to get around that. There are other states that don't allow older convictions to be used against you at all.

Why did you plead no contest if you were innocent? Did the DA have a bunch of circumstantial evidence that was strongly in their favor?

There is probably still hope, but could you give more details about what happened?
