Crossing state lines 100 mile exemption

    That's where you goofed. A local company has the option of not logging or logging. You can't do both. It's one or the other. If part of the year you run out of the circle and log, then you have to log all the time regardless.

    Just now, while mowing the front yard it occurred to me...the bit with going out of CA didn't effect the logs...it effected the 80-70 week hours. Break out to INTERSTATE, you go back to 70 until after 48 hours off.

    Just too many years ago, and actually a very short stint with the fuel wagons.

    Thanks from me, too! I routinely make regional runs in our company "box" truck and have heard about the 100 air miles exemption... but didn't know the specifics until now.
