I was making 550 a week after taxes during training
And paid my bills 4 months ahead.. You know. Responsibility and all. I knew what I was getting into.
I was after all a cdl B holder for 5 years before I got my A.
I started wheeling non cdl trucks at 18.
Altogether 15 years of various truck and equipment operation of all sizes .

SESteve83 and Protein Hauler Thank this.

Another option is Millis Transfer in Eden,NC. They have cdl training and a job. Drivers there say they make $50K+.
Roehl Transport will pay you $500.00 weekly to attend their cdl training, then after graduation you are paid regular driver pay.
Freymiller hires drivers that haven't driven in 5 years. They put you through their inhouse refresher course.
I'd try for Schneider Bulk or Magnum Ltd. first though.

Start saving for the divorce and child support right away cause your wife soon tire of you being gone all the time and waiting for promised riches .

You might want to reconsider otr with children as young as yours are. If you are covering your bills now, you might want to give it a few more years before you make the jump, especially if you have good health insurance.

Believe me, I know what it's like to feel stuck in a job, but your family comes first. Plenty of time for trucking later. Just my opinion.

You would need to take a refresher course and considered a newbie which means you'll be making between $500.00 to $700.00 a week sometimes not even that when you have brkdowns or waiting for a load. Then going home for home time will put a damper on your pay.I would suggest regional or decated then at least you'll know what your checks will be every week.
